GEMMA
I swear, I need to get out of here for a while. So to also teach Graham a lesson as well, despite the repercussions I'm sure that I will endure for doing what I'm about to do, it'll be worth it.
That at least was what I convinced myself as I prepared a backpack that had enough stuff in it for me to be gone for a few days.
I loved going into the woods. It always helped me clear my head and besides, just in general is good to spend some alone time in the woods because that way you never become complacent when it comes to always being alert and are always still learning newer things about the way the woods work. Not to mention I'm not afraid of anything or anyone.
I waited until Graham and several of the guys were all outside in the front going over their plans for while Paine was gone when I jumped from my bedroom window located on the second floor. That's another great thing about my abilities is that I can jump from a high place and still land on my feet without a problem, unlike humans.
I took off really fast and after running for about fifteen miles, I finally stopped and as the sun looked to be going down, I took that opportunity to build myself a fire and make camp.
After eating something and then staring at the fire I had built, I started thinking about what Graham must be thinking knowing I'm gone. I wonder if deep down inside and behind his hard/badass look and act on the outside, he really is afraid of Paine and is panicking at the moment not knowing where I'm at and thinking I ran away.
While laying down in my sleeping bag, I can't help but smile. It feels good being on my own right now and not having to feel like I'm being watched or babysat.
I do plan on heading back in a couple of days though. I really want to use all of tomorrow to have some more 'me' time and then heading back the next morning.

The Next MorningThis morning was nice and peaceful as I woke up with the sound of birds chirping and a few other animal noises that were non-threatening.
While walking through the woods, after several miles, I decided to stop and take a rest before continuing. While resting, I laid on my back and looked around and admired the scenery before closing my eyes.
I didn't have my eyes closed for too long before I could smell what smelled like another wolf. Though it wasn't a familiar scent such as Graham's or anything. I next heard the foot steps getting closer by the noise from the cracking of small sticks and branches on the ground.
I quickly get up and look to see if I can see them yet but so far, no. So I next take my backpack and remind myself that no matter what, I can't shift.
I don't get very far when I see some guy who looked to be maybe twenty-two years old, he jumped out several feet in front of me to cut me off, scaring me half to death and I try to turn and walk the opposite way bit noticed quickly after I was being surrounded by a bunch of who I'm assuming are his men.
"Well well well. Look what we have here boys." The guy says as he looks me up and down and licks his lips a little.
I continue looking around me to make sure that nobody tries to attack me without me noticing.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"We're what they call rogues and we have been travelling through these woods for a few weeks now and haven't really seen anyone before like you." He says.
"What do you mean? I-I'm a rogue." I try and lie to them.
"Now now. It's rude to lie." He says.
"Not if you don't know the person. Besides, what makes you think I'm lying?" I ask him.
"You don't smell or even look like you'd be a rogue. You seem to be something else. Although I have no idea but, you seem like you might be good." He finishes in a disgusting tone of perverted voice.
"Fuck you. You can't touch me." I begin.
Him and his men all start laughing at me a little bit.
"You have come onto our territory. So in a way, yes, we can do whatever the hell we want to. We can skin you alive, torture you, kill you even. Then again, we could all just have a little fun." He grins in a disturbing way as he cocks an eyebrow.
"You won't lay your hands on me. At least not unless you plan on pulling back a broken hand or worse." I warn him with a smirk.
"Feisty huh? I like that. I'm always up for a good challenge." He remarks.
Then the next thing I know, I'm dropping my backpack and get ready as him and his guys start to come after me all at once and we start fighting. Six against one.
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
