I knew that Gemma was scared the moment she saw him and right then and there all I wanted to do was fucking rip his throat out but I knew I couldn't do that, not yet at least.
Then I soon saw him looking at Gemma with a smirk and noticed they were mind linking one another. I tried to listen in but was blocked. So that's when I shouted "ENOUGH!" Then threatened him.
After several moments of observing him for a moment while looking at him, I heard Gemma say something.
"Alpha?! Beta?! Let's leave him for now. He's not going anywhere." She says.
Corwin and I look at each other for a brief moment and then back at her and start following behind as she starts to leave. I hope she has a plan.
When we get upstairs and into the office along with inviting Lorraine, we all sat around and waited to hear what Gemma had to say.
"So what's going on? You've got a plan?" I ask her.
"I do." She starts. "But I don't think you're gonna like it. However, I know how him and Paine do work and this will be the ONLY way we can get what we need from him." She states.
Suddenly I felt worried.
"So what's your idea then?" I ask.
"Well, I was thinking that I could create a serum that I can inject into his head. It would knock him out and then while he's out cold, I can also collect all his memories and information he has on Paine." Gemma suggests.
"Okay." I reply.
"That's a good idea." Corwin says.
"So how do you inject him with it?" I ask.
"I would have to get close to him." She says hesitantly.
"Okay? Well Corwin and I can hold him down." I suggest.
"No. He'll catch on and it'll become quickly more difficult." She protests.
"Then what exactly are you suggesting?" I asked.
"I have to flirt a little bit." She says under her breath.
"What?" I asked.
"I have to flirt a little bit." She says.
I am taken back as I can't believe what she just suggested.
"There's no way that's happening. So you better think of another way." I tell her.
"Look, I know it doesn't seem like it makes any sense. Believe me, I don't want to do this, but we are running out of time. And it's not like I'm gonna let him kiss me or touch me or..." I stopped her.
"Or fuck you? Or is that part of your plan?" I asked through clenched teeth.
"Alpha, I don't think she...." Lorraine tried to explain but I cut her off.
"Both of you leave me and Gemma. We need to talk." I seethe through clenched teeth still.
"Yes Alpha." Corwin and Lorraine tell me before they leave, closing the door behind them.
I look at Gemma for a moment and start walking up towards her.
"Now that everybody's out and it's just you and me now, tell me honestly, did you and him ever do anything?" I ask her hoping that she doesn't tell me what I'm dreading.
"Nothing ever happened and I swear that nothing WILL happen. I swear that...." She say but I stop her again. I've heard enough.
"Get out." I tell her assertively yet in a low toned voice.
"But Rhydon..." She started but I cut her off again.
"I said, GET OUT!" I snapped at her.
She started to cry a little and then just left, slamming the door behind her.
Why would she suggest something like that unless she felt something for him? Because come on, who would suggest doing that otherwise?
