CHAPTER 4: I Don't Need A Babysitter!!

Paine left last night after dinner and once he was gone, I suddenly was hit with the feeling of being overwhelmed with sadness as well as a little anxious. I don't know why but I'm sure that maybe it's because I feel as though I have to stay here in this house the majority of the time before he comes back so that I don't have to risk being seen in my 'form'.

Sometimes I feel more like I'm some kind of a prisoner in a way and that he's ashamed of me. I know that he isn't obviously and he also told me that I wasn't to him but I feel at the same time as though there's always something he isn't telling me about.

I guess I shouldn't dwell on it though because it's not worth it. Besides it would also mean I don't trust him and I do. He's all I have as the closest thing to family especially.

Once I had finished getting dressed for the day, I made my way down into the kitchen to grab something when I noticed Graham and a few others were all sitting at the dining table talking and eating breakfast.

I tried to sneek past them towards the back and just grab something to eat on my way out but was immediately stopped after hearing Graham's voice say my name. I then turn and look at him after rolling my eyes in annoyance but still find a way to do what I always do and force a smile.

"Yes?" I reply.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Just for a walk like usual." I tell him.

"I'll come with you." He offers as he starts walking towards me.

"It's okay. I promise I won't shift." I roll my eyes in annoyance as CLEARLY Paine has told him to babysit me it seems.

"It's not that. I need to talk to you about something." He mentions.

"What about?" I ask as I cross my arms over my chest.

"Not here but during the walk." He says.

I don't say anything and begin to head out as he follows me along into the woods.

"So what do you want to tell me?" I began.

"Well, as you know, Paine left me in charge and that includes watching over you." He states.

"Okay, hold up." I stop him and we stop for a moment. "First of all, I know for a fact he would never have you babysit me or anything like that. So let's get that clear right now." I tell him.

"You know, I used to let it go whenever Paine was around every time you talked back to me or anything along those lined in front of him and everyone else but since he's gone, you're gonna start to learn quickly in how to treat me with respect." He tells me as he slowly begins walking towards me, causing me to back up every step he took forward until I hit my back up against a tree. I wasn't backing up because I was afraid of him or anything. It was more along the lines of the fact that I didn't want him to touch me as I know for a while now he has wanted to do more than that with me.

"I will never do that." I assure him.

I next feel his hand quickly grab my neck tightly and lean in real close, feeling his breath hit my lips.

"Now you listen to me. I am his Delta and have known him a lot longer than you have so trust me when I tell you that no matter what, you will do as I say including treating me with more respect or else I will tell him otherwise and trust me princess, he WILL choose my word over yours." He says.

I try to struggle and break free from his grip but it's of no use. Then right as he's about to lean in closer and try to kiss me, he stops and looks down at my lips and then at my eyes before backing up.

I quickly try to catch my breath as I place my hand around my throat. So badly I want to kill him.

"You fucking asshole. If you ever touch me like that again..." I began to warn him until he stopped me and moved closer again towards me then stopped and grinned in satisfaction as he knew I felt uncomfortable right now.

"Remember, my word against yours." He tells me again then starts walking off.

I swear that one of these days I'm gonna get him.
