RHYDON

Today was the last straw 'emotionally' for me. I didn't realize just how much I was bottling things up and I guess that lately it's been really bad that I haven't had any quiet time or much of alone time neither. Then again, I am the Alpha of one of the best packs out there and when things happen, such as us being threatened, I have no time for either one.

My parents have been very helpful lately and things have been getting better. They have told me how proud they are and have been gone for the past month trying to find answers and also asking for help as well but they couldn't much. People either didn't want to speak of it because they were too afraid or they didn't care. Very few even heard about them, or so they claimed.

"Sweetie, you need to get some rest. We'll look after the place and let you know if anything happens or we hear anything." My mom starts to explain.

"Thanks mom but, I think I might just go for a walk. And mom?" I ask.

"Yes?" She replies with a smile.

"I don't think I ever told you and dad enough but, ever since Gemma's parents were killed, it made me think a lot about several things but one of the biggest things is I haven't told you both just how much I love you am grateful you're my parents." I smile at her.

I can see tears begin to form in her eyes as she places her hand over her heart.

"Oh son, we know. And we love you and are honored to be your parents." She replies and blows me a kiss.

I next start to feel tears begin to form in my eyes as I nod in agreement and then turn to start heading out back in the woods.

While walking I seemed to have lost track of time and everything else. I didn't even pay attention exactly to where I was going. Then suddenly, I heard grunts, loud snapping and cracking noises. It was sounds I recognized from when people fought.

Quickly I began sprinting towards the sounds and came to an abrupt halt when I noticed seven men fighting.

I wasn't able to get a real good look at who six of the men were going after, at least not until a few of them I saw were thrown forcefully aside and one hitting a tree trunk, cracking it badly while the other one had just hit the ground really hard.

I couldn't believe it. In fact, this couldn't be real. I have to be dreaming. With her hair tired up in a tight bun, I was able to see that beautiful face I have dreamed of seeing again for a long time.

I couldn't believe at how strong she had gotten. I was proud. I quickly shook my head and cleared the thoughts so that I could focus on helping her out.

I start sprinting towards one of the guys she forcefully threw off of her as he starts running towards her and I stopped him as I grabbed his throat and forcefully threw him hard down against a sharp rock, causing him to yell out in pain as it hit his back.

I next went after the rest and then the last one right after I saw him slam Gemma hard up against the trunk of a tree with his hand around her throat and causing her to pass out.

I next quickly yank him away, causing him to let her go and him and I go at it for a short while until I grip tightly onto his throat and raise him high in the air.

"I swear that if you ever come near her again, I will personally make sure that you and your friends here die the most painful and worst deaths imaginable." I tell him as he tries to grab my hands to release my grip.

I wanted to kill him but I didn't. Instead I let him drop to the ground as I released my grip and then both him and his friends start scurrying away like cowards.

I turned and looked at Gemma as she laid there on the ground and looked to be waking up again and starts sitting up slowly while holding her neck.

"What the hell happened?" She says to herself, not knowing I was here.

"You were jumped by several guys and one of them caused you to pass out. I helped you  though. They're gone." I tell her.

I start slowly walking towards her as she seems to look confused and yet, when she see's me walking towards her, she backs up til her back hits the tree. Is she scared of me? Maybe she just isn't seeing clearly yet.

"Gemma...." I begin as I continue to walk closer to her.

"How do you know my name?" She asks.

That makes me stop right away. Is she messing with me?

"Baby..." I begin and she stands up quickly and then catches herself as she is about to fall from getting up too fast.

"Baby?! I'm not your baby!" She exclaims and right away I can feel my heart breaking.

"Gemma, come on." I start to say and she then quickly grabs her backpack and gets ready to leave.

"I don't know who you are. Thanks for helping me out but please leave me alone." She says and starts to run away.

I go after her and then it's not too long before she trips and falls face down and hits her head hard on a rock, knocking her out cold.

Well shit, this wasn't supposed to happen when I found her again. Although, why doesn't she remember me?!

I start to carry her back to the house and mind link everybody to let them know and to call the Pack doctor. I needed some answers.
