Five days. The wait may have taken a longer time but just as he promised, my "incredibly awesome" brother's idea of taking Mace into what he called a "boyfriend's brother date" is finally going to happen. Lucky enough, afternoon classes in the whole university were cancelled in preparation for the inauguration of the new university president which is tomorrow. Mace has completely no idea because my brother asked me not to tell him.

I headed to Mace's building to see if they were already dismissed. Gladly, I was just in time. Everyone was starting to leave out. But I couldn't find him. So I went over and check if he was in one of the rooms. My senses told me that people were starting to set their eyes on me. Nothing new though, it doesn't really bother me. But where could he possibly be? I continued searching.

"Hulaan ko. Tinatanong mo ang sarili mo nasaan syota mo ano?" A voice came near to me. Jamie, I knew it. This lady sure reads minds.

"Have you seen him?" I approached her and asked. He looked at me from head to toe. As if trying to scan me. Weird girl.

Then she stopped. "May lakad kayo?" She asked me back. See? She must be supernatural. I just nodded at her. "Pinatawag ng Dean. Kasama ang susunod mong syota." She said aloud showing a freaky smile.

"Excuse me?" I asked in a rather annoyed tone.

"Eto naman biro lang. Syempre, sinamahan ni Montecarlos. Alam mo naman ang dalawang porselanang iyon, parang magkakambal. Mag-elevator ka na. Nasa sixth floor ang Dean's Office." Then she guided me to the elevator. Going up I recalled what Jamie said. That girl should be careful with her words. A few people might have heard her. But she was just joking, wasn't she?

I read the room labels until I found the Dean's Office. Right away, I saw Jas through the glass door. She was sitting on the couch alone, with a a phone in her hand. I continued looking through the door and found Mace talking to a middle-aged man. That must be their department's dean. I can't hear them so I wondered what they were talking. But it seemed to me that they were having a serious conversation. So I sent Jas a text message. After a while, she turned to the door and saw me waving. She stood up and got out of the office.

She then gave me a high-five. "Paano ka napunta dito?" She asked.

"Well I guess the elevator brought me here. So here I am." I joked. She stared at me for a few seconds then started giggling. She's such an angel. Totally, I was lost just by listening to the sound of her laugh. It got me even more excited to court her, soon enough.

"Now that you're here Kuya L.A., mauna na ako ha?"

"What's the rush?" I asked her. Sayang kasi. I wanted to invite her to come with us. For sure, Mace would want it too.

She answered, "Pakisabi na lang kay Mace may check-up ako ngayon. I've had this colds for quite some time now. Kuya's waiting na rin kasi."

"Go ahead. Get well soon, okay? I'll treat you anything kapag magaling ka na." And I mean, only the two of us. Like a real date. Someday Jas, someday soon. Then, she gave me another high-five and walked away.

The door opened again and this time, Mace and the dean were the ones who got out. The dean told Mace, "Think about it Mr. Sebastian. Sige, I'll go ahead. Nagsimula na daw kasi ang meeting para sa bagong president ng university."

"Sige po Sir Mendez. Pag-iisipan ko po. Thank you po." He gave the dean a smile. I waited for the dean to leave so I can approach Mace. He was still smiling until the dean was out his sight. Suddenly, the smile turned into a sigh that his shoulders automatically dropped. That was unusual.
