Thirty days and I must say, being in this fake relationship has given me more shots to impress Jas. I get to be even closer to her. Closer that she already considers me as her "other guy best friend". Well to me, that's way better than being considered a brother. But sad to say, he still calls me Kuya L.A.. I once asked her to call me Lance instead but she refused, telling me she was used to having me as his brother's buddy that's why she calls me kuya. And that Mace is the only person, besides my family to call me by my first name.
As I was learning more and more things about her, I was also learning things about Mace. They certainly have a lot of things in common but they are also different in more ways than one. Jas is like an open book. Seems like she doesn't hide anything from anyone, with a likeable personality everyone can get along with. On the other hand, Mace is a mystery. You don't know what's in his head. There are thoughts he'd rather keep for himself than talk about it with somebody else, unless you insist on asking him to. Like a closed book that you have to put out effort to flip it open.
His personality could make anyone curious. I, for one, have grown curious of him. He puts me into this urge to flip him open. A challenge, let's put it that way.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. It's the weekend so I wondered who could be calling this early in the morning. I grabbed my phone and saw that it was Mace. What's his problem? I thought we had a clear agreement. Ako ang dapat tumatawag, not him.
"Mace?" I answered the call.
"Lance. Nagising ba kita?" He asked.
"Oo eh. But I'm okay." I still felt a little groggy from my sleep though. "Dad needed a hand on a proposal presentation last night. You called, why?"
"Sige matulog ka na ulit. Ayos lang. Mamaya na lang."
"I'll call you later, okay?" I told him. I didn't hear an answer so I ended the call and went back to sleep.
Two hours later, I found myself rushing to take a quick shower. Damn, I remembered I promised I would go with Mace today. He should have told me about it when he called. Typical of him, taking everything just fine. I actually don't remember seeing him complain about anything. Which is a good thing, right?
While I was deciding what to wear, Malcolm came into my room and started nagging at me. He must have known, I supposed. Apparently, my brother has been keeping himself updated with anything related to Mace.
"You're so dumb, Lance. Bakit parang ayos lang sa'yo umalis si gorgeous mag-isa? Hurry up!"
"I could be faster if you could just shut your mouth." I retorted.
"Palabas na siya ng bahay nila kanina when I video called him. He mentioned nothing kung saan siya papunta." He informed me. "Hindi na rin siya nagrereply sa mga messages ko."
I opened my phone and tried to search where Mace was. Good thing I activated a phone locator on his phone and mine. Right away, it showed the location where his phone was currently at. I grabbed my hoodie and just went pass through my brother. He just followed me. Parang aso eh.
"You're going somewhere, anak?" My mom asked as soon as she saw me walking down the stairs.
"My friends wanted to hang out, Ma." I gave her a kiss in her head. "Probably be home by night. Would you like anything pag-uwi ko?"
"No need. Baka ang kapatid mo may gusto ipabili. May gusto ka ba, love?" She asked looking at my brother. Malcolm shook his head and hugged Mom. Feeling baby talaga.
