I tried to shrug my thoughts off and followed them inside the diner instead. Ang sabi sa website, this is one of the very few American-style diners here in the Philippines. Dad always takes us to his favorite diner whenever we were in the States. It was an old one but the foods were awesome. This diner though is the modern kind. Unlike the retro ones we have visited in the U.S., details in this diner were very minimal. It's quite my taste.

They both chose a place near the window. They sat first, opposite to each other. Only God knows how I wanted to sit beside Jas but I can't, because I have make her believe that I'm her friend's boyfriend. For me, yes it sucks. But I have to deal with it.
"Kuya, pwede ba mahiram ang phone mo? I'll take a picture of you and Mace." Jas said. I opened my phone and gave it to her.
"Mace closer ka nga kay Kuya L.A.. Para namang hindi mo siya boyfriend eh." She instructed her friend. Mace moved a few inch closer but still there was space between us. So I pulled him closer at inakbayan ko siya. He was startled with what I did.
"Relax Mace. It's just a picture." I told him.
"Yes Mace. Oh sige na. One, two, three smile! Isa pa. One, two, three cheese! One last, wacky naman okay? One, two, three!" Extending her last word. Such a cutie. She checked on the photos while smiling. Then I noticed her taking so much time with my phone.
"There you go. A new wallpaper for your phone Kuya. Hashtag first couple date. Hashtag perfect. Hashtag third wheeling. You're welcome." She showed us my phone. I wanted to insist but I can't say no to the new wallpaper. Not this time. Not here. Nope.
"Madalas lang may mag-lunch dito sa Diner Central." We all looked at the person who said that. "Hi I'm J.J. and I'll take your orders for today." The waiter smiled and handed the menu over to each of us. I read the menu and decided to order first.
"I'll have a bacon cheeseburger with fries and onion rings, please." I said. I have to try it so I can compare its taste with what I always had with Malcolm in the States.
"Alright Sir. How about yours and yours po?" The waiter asked Jas and Mace.
"Bacon and scrambled eggs, please." They both mentioned together. Nagulat pa sila and looked each other in the eyes.
"Uulitin ko po para sa inyo. So, one bacon cheeseburger with fries and onion rings, tapos two bacon and scrambled eggs. Drinks po nila?" The waiter asked.
"Apple Iced Tea." They mentioned together. Again, they were both surprised. The waiter's lips formed a big smile. "Large." That's says it. These two have telepathic skills, no doubt. It made me smile.
"I'll have what drinks they are having." I told the waiter. When he left, Jas and Mace bursted in laughter.
"Is there anything na hindi ninyo parehong gusto?" I jokingly asked.
