Most of Thalia's last day in her home was a blur.

She remembered pleading, she remembered trying to reason.

She remembered more screaming.

She remembered packing with shaking hands.

She remembered no one willing to say goodbye.

And now, she was sitting on the dirty, stinky public bus- staring sadly out of the window as she dreaded the moment she'd get to the airport.

The moment she'd have to call Zayn, the moment she'd have to beg for a home with him.

The logical part of her mind told her not to worry. She was underage, so if Zayn wouldn't have her- her mother would have to take her back.

Take her back, the thought was bitter in Thalia's mind.

The possibility of everyone rejecting her was lurking at the back of her mind.

Would she end up in an orphanage for the last month of her childhood, or would she be expected to sleep on the streets?

And what happened after that? A life in the gutters, known only as Thalia- the world's whore that no one know what happened too.

Thalia squeezed her eyes shut, set on not wasting another tear over it.

She'd already cried enough.

She'd already been through enough too, but no one was giving her any slack.

"We'll be reaching the airport in less than two minutes ladies and gentlemen. Please prepare your luggage." The voice of the overweight driver echoed around the bus, getting a mulled reaction from the tired and annoyed looking families and the raggedy people who looked like they came from off the streets that Thalia shared the bus with.

The bus lurched to a stop, and Thalia numbly grabbed her one suitcase- which she somehow managed to stuff with all of her important possessions. Going through what she'd keep and what she just couldn't fit was horrible- and she ended up breaking a lot of things in anger.

And then she'd cried over them- the broken snow globes, ripped photo albums, shattered picture frames and other little souvenirs.

Little parts of her history, little parts of herself- all broken under her own hand.

Staggering down the bus steps, Thalia soon found herself behind clouded in the fumes that came from the bus speeding away.

Coughing and waving her free hand in front of her face, Thalia managed to make it inside the airport- blinking in a disorinted way as she checked her watch.

12:07

Her flight was at 1:00, so Thalia didn't waste any time as she went through security and customs and everything else- all the while looking like a zombie and only speaking in a muttered voice.

Glancing back at her watch as she sat in the waiting area- Thalia found it was 12, and just as she was thinking about asking about it, a voice sang out from a speaker- saying that passengers for the flight would now be boarding.

Silently following the crowd, Thalia was soon on her plane- seated between an overweight man who Thalia just knew would be annoying and a woman with a young child who was already crying.

Thalia could've sworn her mother had planned it.

Sighing, she settled as far into her seat as she could- hoping the trip would be fast, hoping that she would be able to sleep through most of it.

As always, her wish was denied.

Just like the one wish she'd asked to become true a million different times in the past two years.

Just for once, could things please go right?
