22 - Goodbye......????

All my bags are packed. Nasa lobby na ang iba. Im now dressed comfortably while waiting for Rj.

Moments later a white car parked in front and a guy named RJ went out with his casual look. White polo shirt, denim pants, rubber shoes and his sun glasses.

He smiled as our eyes met. Lumapit sya sakin at humalik sa noo ko na para bang normal na gawain na naming dalawa yun.

"Hi Love, am i late?" he said sabay kuha ng luggage ko.

"Nope i just went out early." sabi ko nalang.

Nilagay nya sa likod ang mga bags ko while he opened the door for me, hindi pa nakuntento ang luko, pati seatbelt ko sya pa naglagay. He then smiled at me, yung ngiting gugustuhin mong makita bago ka matulog at bago magising sa umaga? Wait! Why will i say those things! Erase! Erase!

"Ready?"

Napatango nalang ako. He gently closed the door then went to the driver's seat to drive us to the airport.

While on a stop, he took my hand and held it closer to him. He kissed it and he looked at me.

"Why?" nakangiti nyang tanong sakin

"I should be the one asking. Why are you like this all of a sudden?"

Nakangiti lang sya.

"i just want you to know that im always here for you. Is it bad? Should i stop? Just tell me and i will...."

Mas hinigpitan ko ang hawak sa kamay nya.

"Hey, Love, relax. I wont let go. Never." he said and smiled at me again

Kahit habang nasa byahe ay hawak parin nya ang kamay ko. Nag usap lang kami about sa kung ano-ano habang nagba byahe.

"Naiyak si Baste ng sinabi kong aalis muna ako for US."

"I can imagine his face turning red while crying. His red cute chubby cheeks." sabi nya habang nakangiti

"His chubby cheeks is my favorite part of him too. I just hope he stays like that forever."

"but i know he's always be your baby brother, forever."

"he is. Plus he keeps on talking and asking about you."

"i should go and visit my in-laws really."

"in-laws? Really?" napangiti nalang din ako.

Pagdating namin sa NAIA ay mabilis din nyang binaba ang gamit ko sabay hatid sakin.

"Message me your arrival details so i can pick you up when you arrived back."

"I can just call Kuya Pao or Kuya Jose to pick me up. I know you're busy too."

"No. Im picking my future wife and that's final."

"Ok, Ok, do whatever you want Mr. Future husband...."

Papasok na ako for check in when we saw an older couple heading our way.

"Rj, iho!" Mr. Saldero

"Good afternoon Tito. Its been so long."

"Nice to see you here ijo. And who is this lovely lady?"

"oh, by the way, this is Mavie my girlfriend, sweetheart meet Tita Susan and Tito Reynaldo Saldero, they were Dad's friends."

"So this is the lady you introduced to everyone during the party. My amigas told me stories about how smart and beautiful the future Mrs. Faulkerson is and i can tell that stories cant give justice. She's for the keeps ijo." Mrs. Saldero

"Oh she really is Tita." sabat naman ni Rj sabay tingin sakin at akbay. "See Love, everyone likes you and im jealous."

"Dont worry Love, i wont let them take me away from you."

The older couple just smiled at us.

"Young love. Just like how we were back then Reynaldo." Mrs. Saldero

"We're still like that Susana. Dont be jealous of the kids." Mr. Saldero said at inakbayan din ang asawa.

"By the way, where are you heading to?" Mrs. Saldero

"actually its just Mavie, hinatid ko lang po sya. She's going to US for somw business matters."

"and you're lettung her go without you Rj? Naku ija sa ganda at talino nyang nobya mo eh dapat binabakuran mo na yan. There's a lot of men around. Make sure to be aware of them too." Mr. Saldero

"Stop scaring the kid Reynaldo. Let them feel what LDR is. Besides i can see how these two love each other. A week or two away is not that long. They can handle that. Right kids?" Mrs. Saldero

"Tita's right Sir besides I trust my girl so much and i know she trusts me too."

"Baka nga po si Rj and dapat kong bakuran Tito. There's a lot of women chasing after him. But like what Rj said, i do trust him so i wont do that. Subukan lang po nya..."

Napatawa lang ang dalawa.

"actually were going to the US too and seems like we are in the same flight." Mrs. Saldero

"I think so too Tita. Please look after Mavie for me? Alam mo naman po Tita." Rj

"surely i will. Dont worry." Mrs. Saldero

"oh akala ko be eh kampante ka ijo?" Mr. Saldero

"I'm just making sure Tito baka may makalusot." Rj

Nasiko ko naman si Rj na itinawa naman ulit ng dalawa.

Then biglang tinawag na kami for check in. Rj assisted me with my things. After check in ay nagpaalam na si Rj sa amin.

"Time to say goodbye, ijo."

Rj hugged Mr. And Mrs. Saldero and then he looked at me and held my hand.

"Take care of yourself while you're there. Call me as soon as you landed. See you the soonest." Rj

"you too and see you soon."

"I'll miss you." Rj

"I'll miss you too." sagot ko naman knowing that the couple's still looking at us.

Then in my surprise, Rj's lips are on mine. Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang aking nararamdaman.

SOMEONE'S POV

Her heart beats fast and she can't even do anything. Mavie just closed her eyes and surrendered...

Rj then kissed Mavie's forehead

And last words they said to each other before they separated that day?

"I love you..."

"I love you too..."

Tagal kong nawala diba? Hehehe parang ang hitap magupdate kapag walang inspirasyon eh. But now im motivated to do this story again.
