Rj's POV

"Wow, i said i like veggies and mangoes but not to this extent."

She just arrived from Zambales with boxes of mangoes and vegetables on the back of her car.

"Blame Nana and Dada. They want you to have it. Sakit sa likod mag drive ah, but actually its Kuya Pau who did but Cant you just say thank you instead" sagot naman nya sakin habang nag iinat.

I looked at her and immediately pull her in a hug. i felt her stiffen from my sudden move. If only i knew earlier that this move can make her stop nagging and annoying me, matagal ko na sana ginawa to sa kanya.

"How about you stay quiet like this, lets go up and i'll prepare us Yaya Ten's carbonara? Good?"

Naramdaman ko syang tumango. Kumalas na ako ng yakap sa kanya. She silently took her bag while i asked the guard to help me with the baskets she brought.

Hinawakan ko agad ang kamay nya at umakyat na kami sa unit ko. I dont know why, but the moment i started holding her hand, i felt like i always wanted to do it again. Yung ayaw ko na syang bitawan pa.

Pagpasok namin ng unit ko ay nilapag ko lang ang mga basket sa table at kinuha ko na ang carbonara na niluto ni Yaya Ten bago sya umalis.

"Who drove you back here in Manila?"

"Kuya Pau did. May kinuha kasi syang sasakyan ni Dada so yun naman gagamitin nya pabalik mamaya."

Then i saw her took a basket of mangoes at pinaglalagay nya ito sa ref. Same goes with the other vegetables.

"This is for you, yung nasa ref mo na. the other goes to Laguna, will you bring this to them?"

"Actually Dad's coming to bring my sister to her doctor, i'll give this to them later. When is your flight?"

"Tonight. Just need to change and double check my things then im off."

"I'll pick you around?"

"3 PM. Maaga pa naman eh. I'll take a nap for a while then ok na."

"Ok. Just message me if you're ready, i'll go pick you up."

Nagserve narin ako ng drinks namin.

"how was your stay in Zambales?"

"Its ok. The usual, went to harvest those crops and also had some family time together. Talks about future plans especially the things i should do when i arrived in the US."

"and when are they coming back?"

"why?"

"i need to keep my promise to your brother."

"You dont need to."

"i cant just ruin a child's mentality about promises Maria Victoria."

She then looked at me intensely.

"Could you please drop the idea of calling me by my full name? Its a bit annoying, really."

"why? Its a beautiful name. Maria Victoria sounds old but pleasing to the ears."

"could you also, drop the word OLD?"

Napaisip naman ako ulit. Mahirap na ke aga aga masapak ako ng babaeng to.

"how about classic and elegant... Suits you, well, not now since you're just wearing your shorts and shirt. You look se. . ."

Inambahan naman nya ako ng kutsara nya.

"sige ituloy mo, sasapulin ko ng kutsara yang mukha mo."

"why? Im just saying the truth!" dipensa ko naman

"ok, that's it, i'll go home. Thanks for the food but nawalan na ako ng gana."

Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari sakin but instead of letting her do things like i always do when ever we argue or bicker, i immediately grab her and hugged from her back.

Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari sakin but all i know is im happy doing this to her, im happy holding her, smelling her, and feeling her close to me but what makes me the happiest is the fact the she never fought to escape from me. She was stiff but she stayed.

"Lets stay like this for a while." i whispered

"What are you doing Richard?" She asked in her soft voice. Not screaming, just a whisper.

"I dont know but i just want us to stay like this Mav,..."

I then felt her relaxed and moments later she leaned on me. I hugged her more and we stayed like that for some more minutes.

"You are not supposed to do this right?" she then asked after our minutes of silence

I just smiled. Im still hugging her and now swaying her softly, i nod to answer her.

"Then why are you doing this?"

"I don't know too."

Then she chuckled.

"Silly."

"Cant you stay for a while?"

"I can't Mr., i still need to check my things." She said as she tapped my hand signaling me to let her go.

I just shook my head to disagree.

"10 minutes then i'll let you go home. I just want to hold you coz you'll be out of my sight for the next weeks. Just let me do this for once Hon."

And i hugged her tighter.

"Just this once Faulkerson, just this once."

And we remained hugging in silence for the rest of the 10 minutes i asked her. After i let her go from my arms hug but not until i held her hand.I was holding her hand until we arrived at the lobby where her car is already waiting.

"I'll pick you up by 3 PM." I said as I opened the driver's side for her.

"Yes please."

"Seatbelt." i said but i also did put her belt for her.

"I should go now." She then starts her cars engine.

I then kissed her temple.

"Drive safe and message me when you arrived home. Are we clear?"

She just rolled her eyes but then smiled after.

"Yes Sir."

I just smiled at her and closed the door for her. She then honked 3 times before going.

"You're making me crazy Maria Victoria!" sabi ko nalang ng mahina sabay iling at ngiti.
