"Quirk Assessment test?" You sat at the nearest bench as you watch your other classmates take their quirk assessment test that was led by none other than by your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa.

"You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right?" Aizawa asked as he pull out his phone and showed it to the class, "Physical fitness test where you weren't allowed to use your quirks."

Aizawa turned to a white haired male with multiple arms, "In Junior High, what was your best for the softball throw?" he asked him as he handed him a ball that has a digital meter on it.

"67 meters, sir." the white haired male with multiple arms answered as scratch the back of his neck.

"Then, try this with your quirk." Aizawa instructed in tired, low tone. You were fascinated on how the male managed to throw a lot farther than his usual throw. You silently wished that you can join, too.

you immediately sat straight when you saw Kirishima approaching you, "Hey, (y/n)? You okay? Why aren't you taking the test?" the redhead Kirishima asked you as he approached you while the other students take a pitch using their quirks.

You smiled as you nodded in response, "Yeah. I just wasn't feeling all well to use my quirk. But it's nothing serious, really." you waved your hands at Kirishima who seemed to be quite sad and disappointed that he won't be able to see you use your quirk.

"That's a shame. You better get well, dude!" he patted your shoulders as he went back towards where the others are.

'liar.'

You couldn't help but feel guilty. You just lied to your friend. You weren't feeling unwell. It's that Aizawa told you not to use your quirk yet. Apparently he had already took a small investigation about your quirk and manifesting your quirk isn't a smart idea since you tend to go into a havoc when things such as situations go unwell.

But you do understood why Aizawa didn't let you partake the tests. You just can't help but feel a little lonely.

Your train of thoughts were interrupted when you saw everyone wearing a surprised and nervous look, "the student who ranks last in total points will be deemed hopeless and immediately expelled." you heard Aizawa set a rule.

Your classmates' faces turned into an expression which you can comprehend well, that was fear. You slowly balled your hands into fists, even though Aizawa told you that you shouldn't take part on the test, you still fear that you might get expelled, too.

Your eyes landed on the green haired male from before, you noticed how scared he looked and he was holding his hands. Your eyes winced as you can't shake off the feeling of him being a lot different than the other students in your class.

"Welcome to U.A's hero course." Aizawa welcomed them with a menacing grin. You knew that it would be impossible that he could expel students just because of one assessment test, but then again, he's a pro hero so he has good eyes on people.

"Last place will be expelled? But it's just the first day of school!" a brunette girl that you recognized that was talking with the green haired male earlier tried to retaliate, "No, even if it's the first day of school, it's too unfair!"

You got her point, but it's still up to Aizawa to decide what happens to everyone. You suddenly felt bad for the others.

"If you want to talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad..." Aizawa started, "Because in the next three years, U.A will do all it can to give you hardships after another."

He placed his hands on his hips again, and this time your eyes met with the pro Hero, "Go beyond, Plus Ultra." and that line sent chill on your skin. You never felt so pumped up about something before.

You stood up from your seat and began to walk towards the others, "(y/n)? I thought you're feeling unwell?-"

You held your head high as you look at Aizawa, he was looking at you and his eyes were saying that he already knew that you're going to join even though he said you don't have to.

You always dreamed to be a hero, and to be one, you need to face the fact that you have to control your quirk first so that you'll be able to be the hero that you always dreamed to be.

You looked at the green haired male who stood not too far from you. You suddenly felt a calm but motivated aura from him. His eyes gleamed and it shine like he relied on something. It was like he put his trust on something so much.

'Those eyes.... You wanted to be a hero, too, huh? Then so be it. There is something weird about you but I know I'll find out what is it.'

Your forearms began to change its color, beginning to be engulfed by darkness, making it look like your hands and forearms were dipped into a black paint. "Maybe just 5% of my quirk?" you silently asked yourself as you tried to adjust the quantity your usage of your quirk.

Your nails began to grew sharper and at that point, your other slassmates had saw the extreme difference of your quirk to theirs.

Aizawa couldn't help but to grin, "your quirk isn't even at it's 100%. And you think you can be a hero with just that? Nice try, (y/n)." he thought as he glance at you and your hands that were mutilated after you use partial percent of your quirk.

Aizawa knew it immediately that you're going to be quite a handful. You and your quirk.

Kirishima's jaw dropped as soon as he saw your quirk, he was surprised and left in awe

Kirishima's jaw dropped as soon as he saw your quirk, he was surprised and left in awe. You turned to him and greeted him with your infamous grin, and he replied back with a grin, too.

"Nah, I'm okay, Kiri. I'm joining the test after all."
