Eve watched the girl leave, walking down the hallway, and her heart ached. She watched from her window as the girl went out to the buses, watched as she turned around. She’d missed the bus.
Eve got up and sprinted down the hallways and some stairs, and more hallways. She exited the building and went in the direction she believed the girl to have gone. Spotting her, Eve slowed down. She needed to follow this girl and make sure she was okay. She seemed so insecure.
