Music resonated throughout the room. It had no words, but it was so full of emotion that Adlyn had to listen to it. She really didn't care if she had a headache.
Suddenly, the music was cut off and replaced by a ringtone.
Clumsily, Adlyn picked up the phone and answered it. It was pretty difficult, seeing as she couldn't control her fingers anymore and they were covered in bandages. She put it on speakerphone.
"Yeah?" she said.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, of course," Adlyn said, she thought it was an odd question.
"Can I - come over?" Eve's voice broke.
"Yeah," Adlyn said, softly.
"Thanks, be there soon." The line went dead.
