Later that evening, George headed to his office. He slumped down into his armchair, and picked up a some ink, a quill and some parchment.

He pressed the quill to the paper hesitatingly, and slowly began to write.

"Dearest all,
Unfortunately, I am no longer accepting marriage applications.

Any queries are to be sent directly to my
office.

-King George III"

He skimmed over the parchment, and slid it into a small envelope, before picking up, and rewriting the text for the next princess or bachelorette, before sliding it into an envelope, and tossing it onto the ever growing pile of letters.

By the time the sun began to rise, George had written at least 50 letters, which were all organised in a pile beside him.

He shoved the last letter in the envelope and placed it on the pile. He hurried the letters into a bag, and headed to the royal post office to deliver them.

Meanwhile, Ollie awoke in his new bed to a soft meowing coming from one of the windows. He leaped out if bed and ran to the window, before ripping open the silky red curtains to reveal James balanced delicately on the window outside.

"James!" Ollie shouted, as he pulled the window open, and carefully picked up the frightened cat. "Oh James you silly boy! How did you get up here?"

James said nothing, and instead leaped out of Ollie's arms and onto the bed.
"Oh no you don't!" Ollie scolded, lifting the black cat from the bed.

"You can't be here!" Ollie explained to the feline, watching as it groomed himself. "This is a palace, for royal people! Not for stray cats!"

The cat gazed up at him curiously, his deep blue ocean eyes peering into his soul. His eyes reminded him of George.

"Look, I'll smuggle you into the place garden, and you can hang around there, and climb up to my bedroom when you need me."

The cat accepted that answer, and meowed in agreement. Ollie searched his room for something to hide the cat in, and eventually decided on a medium sized haversack.

Ollie carefully picked up James, and gently nudged him into the haversack. He clipped closed it most of the way, but left a small breathing hole to make the trip more comfortable.

Ollie kept his head down the entire journey. It seemed to drag on for ages, although it was only a 10 minute walk from his room to the gardens.

Eventually, they arrived. Ollie opened the bag to allow a curious James to wander out, and sniff the plants around him.

"See, its not that bad!" Ollie grinned, watching as James continued to inspect the area, before he hopped over one of the fences, and dashed away.

"Hey Ollie" A tired voice called. Ollie spun around to see an exhausted George walk towards him.

"Hey George, you ok?" Ollie inquired as he ran up to George.
"Im fine" he replied, giving Ollie a loving head pat. "I just woke up from a nap after staying up a little too late last night."

Ollie nodded, and took his hand in his.
"Im glad, do you need to do anything today?"

"Nope" George answered in a slightly less exhausted tone. "Why don't we go for a little walk around the gardens? I could give you a little tour?"

Ollie nodded, and gave the older man's hand a reassuring squeeze. They began their small walk around the garden, admiring the variety of plants and insects.

However, they weren't alone. A young woman named Maria Reynolds had been tending flowers near to the pair, and had overheard everything. She had always had a thing for rich men, or anyone of high power. George was exactly her type.

Feelings of jealousy burned within her as she watched the pair admire the different sections of the garden, hand in hand. As she tended to the plants, she began to scheme.

"What if I told the castle they were lovers?" She thought to herself, an evil smile across he face. It was something she suspected heavily, but had no solid evidence. She wasn't to bothered, she was very charming and just as persuasive.

"Then, they would be so close, and then I could have George to myself, and he would spoil me rotten with the most expensive gifts!" She giggled quietly to herself.

"Its only a matter of time."

A/N:
Thanks to everyone who made it this far! I just had to add in a little Maria drama, no Hamilton fanfic is complete without it. Like I said before, I'm most likely going to give this a sad ending, so buckle up!
