Jay came over Friday at 1:30, I was just at home practicing guitar "hi, slash!" he hugged me "hey dude!" I hugged him back "homework!" he fifths in his backpack "come on." I waited on him "it's reading." pulled out a small paper book that was filled with 5 pages "do you know how?" I asked him "well only a little, but imma be 5 tomorrow, remember?" he gave me the most innocent smile I have ever seen & it was so fucked up how I didn't even know it was his birthday tomorrow "yea" I mumbled "can you gimme one of your snakes?" He asked "yeah you can have them all if you wanted but your mom doesn't really like them so I think we should just leave it here." I half smiled "okay" he nodded his head "okay so do I read to you?" I asked him "yea" I read to him the whole story "so tell me what you learned for the story?" I read one of the questions from his homework "don't lie" he started to write down his answer "okay 2, what happened to the doll when he lied?" I asked him "his nose grew" he wrote down that answer "alright, last question, do you think this story is true?" I watched him scratch his head "yes, because your nose will grow when you lie" he stated, we finished up his homework "slash...." he said "yea, jay?" I responded but I was laying down in the floor staring at the ceiling "do you lie?" I could feel him looking at me "why?" I closed my eyes "no, just do you lie?" he asked again "when I have to." said I "will you lie to me?" he asked "no...." I made it sound like a question "okay, so don't lie to me. Do you do bad things like the bad stuff?" he asked whispering "what?" I sat up confused "you know like beer.." he nodded his head trying to get me to understand "no, why?" I asked, I was very confused "your lying!" he whined "no I'm not." I said louder then I normally spoke "yes! yes, you are! Because Geni from class said that her dad said that you do bad thing & then Jim said that his mom told him that you did beer stuff!" he stood up & ran upstairs "Jay!" I chased after him but he locked the door "Jay!" I said loud "liar!" he shouted "jay, come on we need to talk about this!" I heard the door unlock "what?" he said while he took a bite of his beef jerky ( I didn't even know where it came from) "I did bad thing okay, but not anymore. I stopped so I could be in your life.." we both stared at each other "your not my dad!" he stomped "Jay, we've been over this!" I yelled "no! I don't believe you!" He walked to the bed "is my nose growing?" I smirked "no" he rolled his eyes "okay then. Listen jay, you are my son I only want to protect you, okay?" I hugged him "okay, slash!" he hugged me back
"Oh my god!" Jay kept repeating since he walked into my room "happy birthday, man!" I hugged him & kissed his head "what are we going to do?" he asked with excitement in his eyes "what do you want to do?" I asked him "can we have mom come over & then tell her to make me a cake!" he was so happy "okay, I'll call her!" I smiled "woo-hoo!" he yelled all happy, I called Arabella & left it on speaker
"hey, bella?"
"Oh hey slash, where's jay? he's finally 5!"
"I know he's so happy & he's right here."
"Hi mom!!"
"Happy birthday, baby!"
"Thanks mom"
"Oh my god, your finally 5!"
"I know & guess what he wants!?"
"What do you want, Jay?"
"I want you to make the meatloaf that I like but I want us all to eat it together!"
"Oh my lord, your he's a crazy kid, slash. He gets it all from you."
"Yeh I know, Bella! & please come for that meatloaf, you know I love it!"
"Fine, slash but only for Jay!"
"Okay!"
We hung up the phone & Jay smiled at me "do you really like it?" he asked me "yea, it's the best!" I smiled "okay, well mom is coming pretty soon so get dressed!" he jumped up "Jay it's like 12: 00pm, relax!" I laughed "okay okay."
