"he's alone at our old place, we'll stay in the dorm tonight. you two talk as much as you like."
"thanks guys."
rain waved the boys goodbye and walked out of the cafe, making her way to the old place the boys used to live in.
as she walked, she started to formulate what she would say to woong in her mind.
"would a 'hi' work as a greeting? or should i ask 'how are you'?"
rain sighed and stopped mumbling to herself. as if her feet knew, they stopped moving.
when she looked up, a familiar house came into sight. there were no traces of change in the exterior.
if they had it painted, rain wouldnt have known. but the feeling of being infront of the house reminded her of everything.
"can you call my son?"
"he lives with his friends."
a small smile found its way to rain's lips as she recalled what mrs jeon made her do two years ago.
had the older not make her do it she wouldnt have had the chance to meet the five boys that made her life better.
she remembered even the slightest details of the place. the smell of vanilla and coffee, the small garden of flowers, the picture frames.
"all the little things make me remember you, woong. everything still points back to you."
rain smiled and walked towards the house, entering the gate that was left open by whoever went out.
when she stopped infront of the door, rain felt her heart ramming inside her ribcage like it wanted to get out.
she felt the need to inhale a deep breath, as if her air supply was knocked off from her lungs.
slowly, her hand reached for the intercom just beside the door. and without hesitation, she pressed the button.
"hey, i know i came here to talk to you but i think it's better if you dont come out. if i dont come in."
woong, who was just behind the door waiting for what the girl had to do, wondered.
"please allow me to talk with a door in between us."
even though he was confused and hesitant, woong touched the button and replied, "alright."
rain smiled to herself and sat on the doorstep, her back leaning on the door.
without the two of them knowing, they were leaning on each other's back, with a door in between of course.
"im sorry i didnt tell you about leaving two years ago,"
rain felt something pinch her heart when woong opened the conversation with that.
"i know you came to tell me something but please let me tell this to you."
they just began talking but rain's tears were already starting to flow, so much for the concealer.
the girl wasnt oblivious to the fact that she couldnt level to the amount of love woong had for the boys.
they were basically family, and who was she? just a girl who came into his life like a downpour.
rain shook her head and clenched her fists, as if doing so would stop her from sobbing.
"you dont have to be sorry though, it's me or the boys. of course, it has to be them."
woong fell silent after hearing the girl's reply. her voice cracked after her last line and he knew it was hard for her.
