"it's almost semestral break. where do you plan to go, rain?"

the girl stared at her mom who was eating infront of her. these past few days, rain was drowning herself in her studies.

the last time she hung out with ailee was four days ago and the last with the boys was a week ago.

she didnt—or wasnt—able to hang out with woong either. the two had to focus more on studies.

woong was busy with his responsibilities which was being the secretary of the council and his studies.

he also became two times busier since the student council had to plan early for the upcoming prom the seniors have.

"i dont know mom. but i definitely want to go out on a trip."

"sure, i could grant you permission. with who?"

rain paused her eating and placed down her utensils. she thought about her mom's question for awhile but ended up shrugging.

"i dont know. ailee and i havent talked about it yet."

"any thoughts on inviting the boys?"

at her mom's question, rain choked on her water and her eyes went wide.

"im sorry, what?"

her mom gave her an amused smile. she reached out for rain's hand and gave it a pat.

"i know your bond with the boys is almost the same as your bond with ailee. maybe even better."

rain could only listen to her mom with wide eyes as she tried to process everything in her mind.

"i dont want to stop you from being happy, dear. if they make you happy then go with them. i want you to make friends that could last a lifetime, rain."

her mom smiled and removed her hand on rain's and continued eating.

rain smiled to herself and raised her head to give her mom a smile before going to her for a hug.

"lifetime, i like the ring to that."

"ailee, youngmin!"

"rain, hi!"

rain immediately rushed to the two with a smile.

youngmin opened his arms wide and rain jumped to him for a hug.

"i missed you,"

"same here."

when the two moved away from the hug rain laughed at ailee who was watching them with pouty lips.

rain gave her a bear hug and ailee returned it as the same. after a minute of just hugging the two moved away.

"where have you been, rain?"

"ah, sorry. i became busy for something."

the two nodded and didnt ask more.

behind rain, ailee and youngmin saw donghyun, daehwi and woojin walking towards them sneakily.

woojin gestured a 'be quiet' to them and youngmin immediately understood.
