"i understand. just do what you want, okay? after everything i'll still be here."

ailee gave rain a smile and hugged her tight as the latter cried in her arms, embracing her bestfriend's warmth.

not a day ago, rain was thinking about how her bestfriend would become upset knowing she'd have to leave again.

not a day ago, rain was having a problem coming up of a way to make ailee understand that it wasnt her decision.

but right now, hearing the words that ailee just said to her, she felt happy and relieved.

happy that ailee wasnt leaving her mutually after knowing that the girl was going to be out of the country again.

and relieved that ailee was up for another long distance friendship-relationship with her.

all of a sudden, rain didnt feel the need of everyone's approval of her departure.

for her, knowing that ailee was more than willing to be there for her even from somewhere far made her feel loved.

"if you need someone, you know where to go, okay? i'll never leave you."

"thank you for being the bestest best friend ever."

ailee chuckled at what she said and stroked her hair softly, helping her stop the tears.

"bestest isnt an existing word, rain."

"and so is leaving you in my vocabulary."

rain wiped the tears away from her cheeks and pulled away from the hug, only to see ailee tearing up as well.

the two girls stared at each other blankly for a full minute before laughing at each other.

"stop crying, you baby! i dont wanna leave you like this."

ailee nodded her head and wiped away the tears with a smile before hugging rain once more.

after two minutes, she let her go and backed away slowly as she glanced at the clock behind rain.

"it's already past two, you have more people to see, right?"

rain flinched after hearing what she said. she glanced at the clock and sighed sadly realizing she had to leave.

ailee noticed and gave her a pat on her back, "we'll talk again soon."

and if other people would've been in rain's shoes, they'd believe what ailee said just as how rain believed her.

"i'll be on my way then. this isnt goodbye ailee,"

"it'll never be, rain. it'll never be."

"coming! who's the— rain?"

the girl stood infront of the door in shock with her mouth wide open as she stared at the figure looming infront of her.

"ong seongwoo sunbae?"

seongwoo immediately regained his composture and smiled at the girl before waving his hand in the air.

"just ong seongwoo now, rain. anyway, get inside!"

when the two were on their way inside a voice coming from somewhere resonated in the house.

"who was at the d... oor,"

rain blinked her eyes twice and glanced at the two alternately. after a few seconds she immediately caught up and nodded her head.
