You and Me (Sequel to Back to You)

Chapter 23

As everyone had landed in London, the group gathered together to hear what the plan was, that was until Brad spoke up.

"Does anyone else not think it's weird that Peter just disappeared and went to Berlin to stay with relatives?"

"No, his aunt was busy and asked if he could stay with his relatives." MJ said.

"Yeah but somethings just off with him. I caught him with a European woman with his pants down!"

Harry walked up to Brad and patted him on the back. "Brad, buddy, pal, amigo, mate. I think you've lost it." Harry said, giving Brad a final pat on the  chest and walking off with MJ and Ned.

"And where's Caroline? She just disappeared too!"

"Are you forgetting she's a Stark? She could literally go anywhere, anytime." Ned replied.

Brad followed the group, a little annoyed everyone ignored his observations.

As the group boarded the bus, they saw all the Elementals formed together to make the mega elemental. While MJ, Ned and Harry had to remind themselves it was just a projection, everyone else thought it was very much real and after seeing that their bus driver left, they all got off the bus and ran. As they ran, Harry, Ned, MJ, Betty and Flash ran into Happy.

"I got to get you guys out of here! Get on the jet!"

"Who are you?" MJ questioned.

"I work with Spider-Man and Blue Electric, okay? You got to get on that jet."

"You work for Spider-Man AND Blue Electric?"

"I work with Spider-Man and Blue Electric, not for them!"

As they ran towards the jet, it suddenly exploded.

"New plan. Into the tower!"

Meanwhile, as Peter tried to turn the projection off, Caroline found Quentin.

"Beck!"

"Ah look, it's the little Stark girl. I see you didn't take my warning."

"Yeah well my friends needed me."

"But Peter didn't believe you."

"Yeah well here's the thing, you can mess with us all you want but I will never leave Peter's side. Relationship or not, we're in this together."

"That's sweet. But the world is vulnerable now. It needs a hero, the next Ironman and I'm going to give them that."

"Oh yeah? Well let me tell you something." Caroline began to flow a vibrant blue, her eyes beginning to glow. "You can try to be a hero and all but underneath, you're just a sour man who wants revenge on a man who's dead. And you will never EVER replace my father!" And with that, Caroline sent out an EMP that destroyed all the drones surrounding her.

"I'll give it to you kid, you have guts. But that won't get you far." Quentin said as he reached for his knife and gave Caroline a big gash on her thigh. Caroline fell to the ground, screaming and holding her leg.

"You're going to die just like your old man. Any last words?"

Before Caroline could answer, Peter swung in.

"Leave her alone Beck!"

In the tower, Happy and the five teens were hiding from the drones that were after them. As MJ was hiding, she saw a weapon and grabbed it. As Betty made a distraction, MJ swung the weapon and hit the drone, knocking it down. Happy got them to the vault and locked the door.

"Are we going to die?" Ned asked.

"Nobody dies on my watch."

"I wasted my life playing video games, and we're going to die!"

"I have a fake ID, and I've never even used it." Betty confessed.

"I post stupid videos daily for people to like me!" Flash said.

"Hey! If it wasn't for those stupid videos, Spider-Man and Blue Electric would have never found you."

"Spider-Man and Blue Electric follow me? I saved us, guys!"

"If you saved us, then why are we about to die?" MJ exclaimed.

"Stop it!" Ned and Betty said.

"I'm sorry! Okay? I just, I'm obsessed with telling the truth even if it hurts other people's feelings."

"I've never kissed anyone." Harry confessed, earning a confused look from everyone. "What? Many girls may find me attractive but I just haven't found the right girl yet."

"I'm in love with Spider-Man's aunt." Happy blurted.

Everyone got quiet and looked at him.

"We're sharing, right?"

"Oh look, the boyfriend arrives!" Quentin  said, clapping his hands.

"Your lies are over, Beck."

"This certainly isn't ideal, but I have contingencies. EDITH?"

"Just give me the glasses."

Quentin holds up the glasses. "You want these? Come and get them."

He creates another illusion and Peter closes his eyes and takes a deep breathe.

"Come on Peter tingle."

Peter rushes forward and grabs all the camouflaged drones and destroys them. Caroline looks at Peter with her mouth open.

"Okay, can I just say that was kinda hot."

Peter suddenly reached out as Mysterio pointed a gun at him and grabbed his hand as the gun went off. Quentin fell to the ground and Peter took his mask off, looking at Quentin.

"How could you do all of this?"

"You'll see, Peter. People, they need to believe. And nowadays, they'll believe anything." Quentin said as he took his last breath.

Caroline and Peter looked at each other and helped each other out and down to their friends.
