Falling into the Wrong Hands

I decided it would be a good idea to get up and walk around.

I smiled as I waved at the citizens and instantly they beamed when I did.

Pressure...

For me there's a lot of it.

Just being the leader is enough pressure as is, but their's even more when a war is raging on.

Lives are on the line and all of them are dependent on what I do. How I decide to approach the situation.

It's just really overwhelming.

I make it to Lukas' cabin and a part of me desperately hopes that he's there.

I open the door, a whoosh of cool air instantly hitting me.

Much to my dissapointment, it's empty. No fire lit or anything.

I take quiet steps forward.

Eveytime I'm in here, I'm reminded of how weak I had once been.

I continue to walk forward though, ignoring the memories that floated in my head.

I bit my bottom lip and slipped my way into one of the rooms. I needed something actually.

I reached for the top shelf, but due to my shortness I couldn't reach it.

I look around the room, spotting a black chair.

Instantly, I reach for the chair, pick it up and put it as close as I can to the large shelf.

Carefully, I climb up the chair, hesitantly standing on it.

"Ok... Now I just have to find it," I mumble quietly as I gaze at the top shelf intently.

I knew the book was on the top shelf, so finding it shouldn't be too difficult.

One of the books is suddenly knocked down and I quickly get off the chair.

"Thanks for that Reuben," I breathe faintly.

I reach for the book, bending down to grab it, but that's when I heard the front door shut.

It must be Lukas! I quickly rush to the living room, expecting to see him.

A quiet gasp of suprise escapes my throat and almost instantly my muscles grow tense.

"Now that their's no one to interfere let's see how well you really fight," Sylvia says, twirling her silver blade that was in her hand.

I draw my sword and the odor of fresh blood hangs in the air, thanks to the fresh blood coating my sword.

Blood drips on the floor and Sylvia smiles unnaturally and her sapphire eyes suddenly flash to a vibrant red.

I shift a little, raising my sword higher.

Sylvia makes the first move, charging at me quickly.

She raises her sword and then brings it down swiftly.

Hastily, I leap to the side.

"Not going to even try to leave me bruised eh. What is it because I'm your 'friend?' Sorry, but I can't say I'll do the same for you," Sylvia says, her voice right behind me.

Instinctively I roll to the side just as her sword comes crashing down.

Her sword lays right beside my head and I kick her quickly in the stomach.

She stumbles backward, a sick grin on her face.

"I never thought you actually had the guts to do that," Sylvia says.

"Don't underestimate me then," I say and Sylvia laughs afterwards and her red eyes glow even brighter.

"If you say so," She says, her tone growing colder.

Quickly, I stand up and she dashes towards me again, but this time with a much greater force.

She locks swords with me and I grit my teeth.

"Having a bit of a hard time Jesse?" Sylvia taunts, her devouis smile growing.

Sylvia pushes me back with the force of her sword and I bump into the wall behind me.

Before I could even think of moving, Sylvia pins me against the wall and knocks my sword out of my hand.

"Jesse Jesse Jesse," Sylvia shakes her head and her tone sends shivers down your spine, "Guess your coming with me now."

Sylvia snaps her fingers and suddenly the surroundings change.

I'm in a dark room and just as I stood up I was hastily pushed back down.

"I told her that I always get my way."

I look up and meet striking green eyes that seem to glow even in the darkness of the room.

She lifts my chin up and I recognize this woman, Genesis.

I clench my teeth, narrowing my eyes.

"I don't think your friends will do to well when they find out their leader is missing," Genesis says and then laughs.

Anger boils within me and worry is quick to stir.

"They can handle themselves!" I retort, snapping a bit.

"Oh can they now. Guess we'll just have to wait and see," Genesis says. "But they'll be completly oblivious thanks to you my dear."

I attempt to get up, but chains wrap around my feet and arms and pull me back down forcefully.

At this point I'm glad that I can't feel the chains around my arms.

Perhaps I can use my metal arms to my advantage. Does she even know about that?

"Anyways you might as well get used to the place. You'll be staying here for some time," Genesis says, her tone bothering me deeply.

Her eyes glow and in a blink of an eye she's gone, but I can still feel her unsettling presence.

But now I'm left wondering, how am I going to get out of this one?
