I don't know how long I've been sitting here, trapped, but I was thinking of every possible scenario of how to get out of here and I was wondering how my friend's would do without me.
One part of me thinks they'll be fine without me, but I can't help but have my doubts.
Especially since their's no telling what Genesis will do now that she has me in her clutches.
Behind me faint shuffling is heard and my chain's rattle as I shift uncomfortably. Her presence is just very unsettling.
"Your lucky really, since your not in my family and all," Genesis says from behind me as she places her hands on my shoulders. I can't help but shudder ay her touch.
"If you were things would be ...way worse for you," She says, but then quickly dismisses the topic, "Ahem anyways."
"Why did you capture me? To kill me, so you can easily claim victory," I spat quickly.
Genesis removes her hands from my shoulders and she picks up the heavy chain that was around my arm and laughs hysterically.
"Ah, not a very bright one.... You see if I wanted to kill you believe me when I say I would've done that a long time ago. Y'know it gets boring when you kill everyone with just a snap of your fingers," She lets go of the metal chain and it drops to the ground and rattles, "But let's get back to business hmm."
She walks infront of me and crosses her arms over her chest.
"But first let's see how my niece is doing," Genesis says and I open my mouth to say something, but with a snap of her finger we're in a different room.
My mouth instantly closes and my breathing hitches.
"Sylvia," I breathe quietly, as I watch her trying to protect herself.
Blood runs down the side of her chin and she covers her face with her arms.
A whips strings, pull at her arm ripping her skin apart and she yelps.
"That's enough now," Genesis says firmly and the soldier nods and instantly leaves the room.
My heart pounds frantically and I shake my head as I hesistantly take a step backwards.
I lower my brow and my blood begins to boil. This woman.... She's completely lost it and I thought she was insane before.
"How can you do that to her she's your own niece for crying out loud! Don't you show any mercy?" I bellow.
"Hmm lashing out how childish," Genesis shifts from toe to toe, "Besides she's tough, she can handle it and mercy... Well that is for the weak and your not implying that she's feeble now are you?" She questions.
I open my mouth to speak, but immediately she raises her voice.
"Why don't you just stay out of what I'm doing and be quiet," She demands sternly.
She glances at me with an obnoxious small sinister half-smile on her face, "And besides I'm the one with the power here not you."
I think I would be well aware of that by now...
"Your lucky that I have things to do right now so why don't you just be good and we won't have any problems," She says slowly, speaking to me as if I'm a child.
She pats my head as if I'm a dog and chuckles while I glare at her.
Genesis removes her hand from my head and snaps her fingers and suddenly I'm teleported closer to Sylvia and Genesis is no where to be seen and that's strange.
Without hesistance, I rush to Sylvia's side and I kneel beside her.
"Sylvia," I breathe, she looked worse than before.
Leasuirely, she turns her head to me and she squints.
"Jesse?" She questions and coughs up blood violently and my eyes widen at how frail her voice is, "You have got to be.... Kidding me...," She trails off, as she shakes her head slightly.
She glances down at the floor blood running down the side of her forehead and she groans.
For a few moment's she ponders deeply and I open my mouth to speak, but she raises her hand.
"Jesse," She slowly glances back up at me, her eyes glimmering with something indecipherable, "You have to get," She coughs up more blood which is concerning, "Out of here. You don't have a choice."
She point's to one side of the room and pushes me in that direction with the little strength that she has, "Go," She mutters faintly, "Now."
Sylvia is laying in her own pool of blood I can't just leave her here.
I shake my head quickly and she wraps her arm around her side where a lot of whip marks lay but with her other hand she shakily grabs my trembling hand.
"Focus Jesse," She winces, "T-There's alot more people out there that need you," Sylvia squeezes my hand a little, "Just go, I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?" I ask faintly.
"I don't think I stuttered did I?" Sylvia says firmly.
"No, you didn't," I say and her hand falls from mine.
"You better hurry before," She winces again, "She comes back."
I nod and stand up straight while taking a deep breath.
"Just crawl though the vents," She says quietly as if someone was listening on our conversation, "And look out for guards."
She exhales slowly and takes out a silver watch from her leather jacket pocket.
"Use this to help guide you," Sylvia says as she taps the side of it and feebly hands it to me.
Hesitantly I take it from her and put it on my left hand.
"Don't worry about how to use it alright, just go," She says hastily as she shifts making the chain's wrapped tightly around her leg's and right wrist rattle.
I nod and decide to sprint in the direction she told me to go.
Ok.... I got this.
At least I think I do.
