"Jesse, at this rate, your going to be in for a rough time and that's a shame my dear," Genesis said, fake remorse in her unwelcoming tone.

The sound of shackles echoed off the walls and hummed in my ear as I moved forward and grasped the freezing metal bars of the cage I was in.

"You won't get away with this," I said with an obvious tremor in my feeble voice.

Genesis quickly glanced at me and stared at me with a hardened glare.

I gulped and my grip around the rusty bars tightened.

"You know your funny right? Real funny," Genesis said, her tone lacking any emotion whatsoever.

The way she said that made my heart drop. The hairs on my body swiftly stood up and Genesis' piercing gaze bore right into my soul.

She took a small step forward and grabbed the thick bars of the metal cage, her hands just above my shackled hands.

"I already got away with it. No one's going to find you here. Heck, no one's going to know that your here. And no one will know that your missing. I got away with this little one, so I suggest you watch your tongue," Genesis snapped hastily.

My grip on the bars tightened and I grit my teeth.

"Someone will stop you eventually," I retort, my tone firm.

"And who exactly is going to stop me huh?" Genesis scoffed, "You really think someone's going to stop me. Me!"

Genesis laughed and her hysterical laughter bounced off the solid walls.

All the power she has... Has undeniably went to her head.

Genesis glanced at me put her hand on her hip.

"You know what," She began faintly, "I think you need to be enlightened."

My eyebrow rose, but the way she said enlightened definitely gave me a terrible feeling in my gut.

Genesis snapped her hands and suddenly I was in a dimly lit room, strapped to a metal chair.

"What the," I mutter quietly.

"Well obviously you underestimate me Jesse," Genesis says bluntly, but she's no where to be seen, "So let's put an end to that shall we?"

Out of nowhere, a ferocious beast lunges at me and I flinch as the large wolf with its blood-stained fangs prepares to unrelentlessly dig it's sharp fangs into my flesh.

I can't do anything and that provokes something in me.

Before my own eyes, just when the wolf has it's fangs a couple of centimeters before me face it stops in mid-air.

My heart pounds against my chest swiftly and I'm overly aware of my accelerating heartbeat.

"See Jesse," Genesis says, "Power is everything."

"It's not! Power only leads to corruption!" I exclaim.

Genesis suddenly appears in front of me, her thick eyebrow raised.

"Wow," Genesis says directly, "You're really shallow."

I resist rolling my eyes and she snaps her finger.

An image appears before me, a map of the world.

"All of the red places you see on this map," She says in a monotone voice while she holds her head high, "Are places I've already conquered."

I gaze at the map in pure horror and dread quickly settles within my bones.

Almost every place on the map was covered in scarlet and Genesis was smiling proudly, a cruel look resolving in her cold gaze.

"Oh you haven't seen anything yet." Genesis says just as a figure walks slowly out of the shadows.

What's now walking towards me makes my eyes widen hastily and my blood run cold.

I shake my head in utter disbelief as my heart drops once more.

"Well well well, if it isn't Jesse the well-known leader of the order of the stone," The figure taunts.

Oh no. No no no...

"Soon, no one will know what happened to you," The figure taunts, giggling afterwards.

---

Who do you think this figure is? Any thoughts?

Anyway, I'll see you in the next chapter.
