Sylvie pov:

I had my arms crossed over my chest as I stood staring into the horizon.

I grit my teeth before sighing faintly.

My shoulders relax as I adjust my rather stiff posture.

I clenched the glistening apple that was in my hand before taking a bite out of it.

As I pondered thoughtfully, I couldn't help but be concerned about my sibling. Surprising, I know.

I have no clue what Genesis is doing to her and she could be doing countless things to her with just a snap of her fingers if she wanted to.

Really, she could've obliterated all of us by now, but why isn't she? What's holding her back?

Genesis has her ways and I'm sure she has a plan way larger than we're expecting because she usually does and I should know.

I bit my bottom lip and start heading towards the order hall. I needed to speak to the intelligent guy with the beard. What was his name again? Was it Ivan... eh who cares I'll just find out what his name is later I suppose.

I take another bite of my apple when my stomach growls, reminding me of how famished I am.

Silently, I hoped Jane would be there because I needed to speak to her too.

--

Surprisingly, by the time I reached the order hall, Jane was there and so was the rest of the order.

Even Jesse whom, I haven't seen in some time.

"Well, the necklace?" Petra asked, putting her hand on her hip as she glanced at Jane. Petra's body language suggested that she was enraged.

"It's a work in progress," Jane admitted, nodding her head, "And you don't have to get so heated after all I'm just doing you all a favour."

Petra rolled her eyes and she frowned, clearly displeased.

"Blah blah blah," She grumbled.

"We don't have time for such trivial arguments!" I exclaimed glancing at Jane and Petra, "Get it together you two. I didn't come here just to hear you two bicker."

"Finally, someone comprehends the situation," The bearded man exclaimed, raising his fist in the air.

Jesse said nothing, but simply observed the situation and occasionally tapped her chin.

"So now what?" Olivia inquired, "What's our next move?"

"First of all, we need to execute this plan of yours as soon as possible. Genesis' power is definitely becoming stronger and the longer we wait the harder it'll be to take her down," Jane said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"What about my sibling?" I asked, earnestly.

"We haven't thought of that," Olivia said.

"We have no idea where she's even located in that building and going in blind is a terrible idea," Jesse said, softly.

"Indeed, Jesse does have a point," Axel said, for once he wasn't being goofy.

I glance down and no not because of sorrow as you'd probably think.

"Hey, we'll get her out of there soon," Jesse said soothingly, "No ally left behind am I right.. Plus I owe her."

I glance back up.

The conversation resumes to where it was left at prior, but instead of listening I zone out.

My mind wanders to different topics.

But one bugs me.

Genesis.

The fact that she's so powerful is unbelievable and a madwoman like her doesn't need all that power. It's corrupted her, me and several other people, but for whatever reason she has the most power out of everyone I've ever known. I can't help but wonder how she was able to inquire so much of it.

I snap out of my train of thought and I notice that just the order was talking, excluding Jane from their conversation which gave me the perfect opportunity.

I walk over to her and she glances in my direction. Her crimson eyes shiny and gleaming.

"Hey, you mind if I talk to you for a moment?" I ask.

"Why should I? Especially when you wrecked havoc on my people." She said bitterly.

"Wow, ever heard of people changing," I say sarcastically.

"I was kidding," Jane says faintly as she punches my arm, much to my dismay, "What's up?"

"Do you really know how to stop Genesis and how'd you know about the necklace?" I ask.

"Of course, I know how to stop her and second I know about it because of a prophecy. I've been waiting for this thing for such a long time too and this is just what we needed too!" Jane said, although she didn't give much detail on how to defeat Genesis or the necklace which made me slightly suspicious of her.

She seemed so secretive almost all the time and provided little to no information about things.

"Well, I have to get back," Jane said suddenly.

"What already?" Jesse said, putting her hand on her hip, "You just got back."

"I'm well aware, but I need to check up on my squad."

Petra seemed annoyed and Axel was uninterested while Ivor was all ears and so was Olivia.

As Jane faded away with a wave of her hand I couldn't help but have my hunch increase.

She always seemed to be rushing out of here whenever someone was asking too many questions.

What else is she hiding from us? I don't know what it is yet, but whatever it is, I have a feeling that it's very important and I intend to find out what she's really up to.
