Jesse Pov:

My head was pounding vigorously and intense pain was constantly shooting up my arm.

My vision blurred and spun, dizziness quickly crashing over me like a wave.

My muscles became tense and I tried my best to keep crawling, but the agony grew to a level were I could barely take it and I was forced to stop.

I blinked furiously as I attempted to clear my fuzzy vision.

My mind swirled with perplexing thoughts.

Why was I in so much pain all of a sudden?

I felt like throwing up as the colors around me kept merging together.

Reuben's presence had grew faint and I could barely feel him.

What was happening?

Midst my thoughts, a loud creaking sound startled me and without warning the vent suddenly collapsed.

---
(Olivia Pov):

"So what do we do now?" Lukas asks softly.

"Who knows," I mutter faintly.

"Hello my fellow advocates. What are you all doing in the order hall?"

My attention snaps to a gruff bearded man.

"Ivor?" Petra scoffs.

"Yep, that's me," Ivor says.

"Wait what are you doing here I thought you still had patient's to attend to," Lukas said gently as he put his hand on his hip.

"Geez, can I not be in this place or something!" Ivor threw his hands in the air, "I came in here because I need to enunciate."

"Enun.... Enunci...," Axel tried pronouncing it, "Ugh what does that word even mean."

"Basically to talk Axel," I said faintly.

"Where's Jesse?" Ivor asked quickly, "I specifically intended to speak to her."

"Uh....," Lukas rubbed the back of his neck.

"We don't know," Petra said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"What do you mean you don't know," Ivor said firmly, his tone now sounding like he was accusing someone.

"Are we supposed to know where she is at all times or something," Petra said swiftly.

"You do understand we're in a middle of a war right? And you don't know where she-"

"Alright break it up you two," Axel said, surprising me just a little bit.

I glanced at him.

"Look I'll just go search for Jesse," Lukas said, settling things then he murmured, "It's been awhile since I last saw her anyway."

(Jesse Pov):

My body was aching and dust and debris floated in the air and I coughed.

Blood ran down the side of my head and I groaned faintly.

My throat was parched and I was currently trapped since the narrow vent gave way.

"R-Reuben," I stammered. His presence felt so weak and faint, but I knew he was still here with me.

I felt a faint comforting presence settle over me and for a moment I felt at ease.

That moment however was quick to pass.

"Tsk... Tsk tsk. Why am I not surprised," A voice way too familiar to me said.

The hairs on my arms immediately stood up and a cold feeling settled within me.

I glanced up and my gaze met a pair of unwelcoming, cold, and striking light green eyes.

Of course the one and only Genesis was sitting before me, a cruel smile tugging on her glossy lips.

"You should know this little one," Genesis' harsh gaze hardens, "No one escapes this place unless I permit it."
