Incubus [BOOK 2] (Jimin FF)

Year 20XX (Y/N's POV)

I sighed as I leaned on the tall tree behind me gripping my sword tight.

It's the year 20XX now.

5 years have passed.

I still remember it like it just happened yesterday..

Flashback~

"What have I done?"

I stared down at him.

Jimin looked up at me.

"Y/N!"

He tried to stand up but failed due to his injuries.

"No! Stay away from me! I'm dangerous!" I shouted, backing away from him.

His eyes widened.

"What?"

"Please! Stay away from me! I shouldn't be near you!"

"Y/N. What are you saying?" he asked.

I looked up at him.

"We should have never met," I said, my tears flowing out.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

I turned around and started running.

I didn't know where, but I just kept on running in fear that I would harm more people if I stayed.

I eventually ended up in a part of the forest I have never seen before.

They won't find me here.

I sat down against a tree and held my head in my hands, looking down at the dirt below me.

I started to sob nonstop. Letting out all of the pain I kept hidden inside of me.

I didn't care how loud I was because I was alone, and no one could find me.

"I'm so pathetic.." I said under my breath.

End of flashback~

That day was the day it all came crashing down on me.

I finally learned what pain was. I finally learned what struggle meant. I finally learned what love meant to me.

After that day, I traveled all over the world, trading for weapons to prepare for the battle. The battle against Artemis.

My loadout included a long sharp sword, a Demon slaying pistol, and armor. The armor wasn't too bulky because it was meant for speed.

To hide myself, I wore a light brown cloak over my armor, hiding both me and my weapons, so I wouldn't look too suspicious to others.

In the span of just 5 years, I learned how to control her magic. She would try to talk to me, but I always ignored her.

I mastered Aileen's magic. I mastered the magic of a Shadow Demon.

"I need to find somewhere to sleep," I mumbled to myself.

I looked around for an area with not too many insects and eventually found one.

I placed my sleeping bag on the floor and sat on top of it.

It was nighttime now.

"Would it really be okay for me to come back now?" I ask myself as I stared up at the night sky.

The night sky staring back down at me was clear with a full moon shining its beautiful light down on the dark forest.

All of a sudden, I started to get emotional.
