Spirits (Y/N's POV)

Wind came up to me and kneeled, hand on his chest.

"We are your servants, Lady Y/N. We will protect you with our lives." He looked up to me with a determined look.

"H-Hold on. I said I wasn't Aileen, so why are you so determined to 'serve' me?" I asked.

"Aileen is currently residing in your body which makes you technically the same person," Blaze said with a smile.

"We promise we will be very useful to you, my siblings and I," Aqua commented.

"Man, not even Lady Aileen was this stubborn," Electro mumbled under his breath.

"We are your spirits, Lady Y/N. Please accept us," Wind pleaded as he looked up at me.

Oh god, why does he have to be so adorable...

"F-Fine, but how old are you? You look like you're in elementary school," I muttered.

"Aqua is the youngest as her age is 10. Then comes Blaze at 11 years old. I am 12 years old, and Electro is 13," Wind explained, standing up and dusting himself off.

I looked over at Aqua, and she stared back with an innocent gaze.

"Are you sure she's old enough to be in combat?" I asked.

"Well, we are immortal. We just say that's our age according to how we look. We are about 1000 years old. We have been serving Aileen for 1000 years."

"Eh... How do I know you're not just little kids who are playing me..?" I tilted my head in confusion as I stared at them.

They looked at each other and nodded.

They formed a line in front of me, Aqua stepping up first.

She held her palm out towards me.

Suddenly, I was trapped in a large water bubble that seemed to be a shield of some sort.

Dumbfounded, I took a couple of steps, the water shield following me.

Aqua bowed and stepped back, Blaze replacing her.

She smirked and shot a beam of fire towards me.

The beam of fire had hit the shield, breaking it completely.

"What the actual-"

Before I could finish my sentence, I was floating again, the swirl of wind beneath my feet once again.

"You already know my magic," Wind chuckled as he took a step towards me.

He bowed just like Aqua before leaving, and Electro stepped towards me with a smile.

He snapped once and on my back, appeared beautiful golden wings that looked like they were made out of electricity.

"These are not the only spells we can do. They're just our favorites." Electro smiled again and took a step back.

"Keep them. They will only last for a few days, but I hope you enjoy them," Electro said calmly.

This will make things a lot easier now that I don't have to use so much magic.

I jumped once, but I landed back on my feet.

"Uhm... How do you use them?"

"Your mind controls them," Electro replied.

Is that so?

I closed my eyes, and the next thing I knew, I was off the ground and in the air, my electric wings moving majestically and beautifully.

They all formed a line once again, facing me and kneeling down.

"We swear on our lives we will protect you until the end of time, Lady Y/N," they all said.

I flew down to the floor, placing my feet on it.

"Please tell me everything you know about Artemis," I commanded.

"As you wish," Wind said, raising his head.

They all looked up at me with a fire in their eyes.

They must really hate Artemis.

I saw Electro clench his fists.

"Lady Aileen and Sir Artemis were in love with each other many years ago. They were always together, never apart. Until one day, Sir Artemis betrayed Lady Aileen and almost killed her. That was when she found you, using you as a vessel to fulfill her thirst for bloodlust," Electro explained, occasionally clenching his teeth too.

"From that day forward, we vowed to never trust that traitor Artemis," Wind stepped in and said.

"Honestly, we just want to murder him with our bare fists," Blaze sighed.

"But, Miss Aileen still has lingering feelings for him," Aqua finished.

Aileen, is that true?

You've been so quiet that I almost forgot you were here.

In the back of my head, I heard what sounded like soft crying.

Aileen?

She's crying...

Aileen, don't cry.

I-I'm not crying...

Yes, you are.

She didn't answer, instead, she just kept on weeping.

"We will be going now, but before that," Aqua said and stepped towards me.

She handed me a blue bracelet that fit my hand perfectly.

Blaze, Wind, and Electro also stepped towards me, handing bracelets to me.

Blaze's was red. Wind's was white. Electro's was yellow.

"Keep them on at all times. We will be inside those. Just call if you need help," Wind said, disappearing along with the others into the bracelets.

The white one started to glow.

"Just tap on the bracelets if you need one of us or call if you need all of us at once," Wind's voice said through the bracelet.

Then, it stopped glowing.

"That's so cool..." I muttered.

Oh well, time to go now.

It's already nighttime.

I activated my wings and began to fly out of the cave.

It would be such a pain if anyone saw me, so I'll stay higher in the sky.

I soared over the town, getting a bird's eyes view of what's below me.

Then, I saw something that caught my attention immediately.

Why is Flara looking directly towards me?

And, why is she pointing towards me?

And...

Why is the whole group gathered, staring at me?

This is bad.

Very bad.
