As I walked through the village, the people looked at me strangely, almost as if they were scared of me.

What's their deal?

I turned my eyes away from them, and that's when I saw it.

A huge crowd of people surrounding the village's small center.

I ran over to the crowd and asked around what was going on.

"This Demon of a creature made its way into our village, and we're here to burn him to ashes!" an old man complained, pointing at the stake.

My heart dropped and my eyes widened.

Why?

Why is Jimin here?

He was tied to the stake, looking miserable, but at the same time smiling up at the sky.

Without thinking, I flew up to him immediately, not caring if my wings were showing.

I untied him, which made the crowd roar with disdain and hatred.

"It's another Demon!" they roared.

I carried him onto my shoulder, and he snapped out of his trance.

"Y-Y/N? Put me down. I shouldn't-"

"You're such an idiot," I whispered.

We reached the forest, and I carefully put him down, finally letting out my tears.

"You were just going to let yourself die by the hands of those humans?!" I shouted, not wanting to accept that he was willing to die being burned alive.

His eyes widened a little bit, and I saw them sparkle a bit before returning to their dull state.

"I... I don't know. It seems like humans are aware of our existence now. They know Demons exist, so I just killed off a few. I don't know why, but I did," he muttered in a low voice.

"You're stupid. You're reckless. You're all of the bad things in the world, but I still care about you even if I shouldn't," I mumbled and stood up, turning around to walk away.

I wiped my tears and felt him hug me softly and gently.

"I love you, Y/N. Please don't leave me anymore," he whimpered.

"I-"

"I am never letting you leave my side again, Y/N. Whether you like it or not," Jimin whispered as he held me tightly.

I opened my mouth to speak but was interrupted by Jimin again.

"You're mine, you got that?" he softly said, on the verge of tears.

More tears began to fall as I almost gave in and embraced him, but I pulled away.

My body was cold as soon as it left his touch. It was terribly cold.

"I'm not yours, and I never was," I quietly said, looking away.

"Please, just come back to me. My life is meaningless without you. If you aren't with me, how am I supposed to enjoy my life?" he asked, now looking at me with tear-filled eyes.

"Move on. I already have," I lied.

"I'll just ask you one last time. During those times we spent together, did you genuinely love me?"

He looked hopeful that I would answer to his liking.

"I can't say I never had fun. What I can say is that you were the one I loved the most," I said, smiling sadly one last time before leaving as I jumped into the sky, flying away.

I flew towards the forest, crying uncontrollably.

I hugged my arms, as I flew down towards the ground.

Everything became dark.

I couldn't see anything anymore.

It was just pitch black.

I was in the familiar black void once again.

I saw someone approach me, but it wasn't Aileen.

It was me with hollow holes in place of eyes.

She smiled and walked towards me.

"Now that everyone's left you, I'm all you have now. It's just you and me," she said.

"Just you and your insanity," she chuckled.

I see.

She's my own insanity.

She will come out if I lose control even for a second.

"I want to ask you something," she paused before continuing with a smirk.

"You save everyone, but who saves you? Who saves you from yourself? It will be better to just let your demons come out and play. Just let me take control," she whispered in my ear.

"Every minute, you're gradually getting closer to losing the battle. The battle against yourself. You won't have to suffer this way if you let me take control." She took a few steps back and turned away.

"Think about it. I'll be back for your answer once your here again," she said and left.

She's right.

Maybe it would be better to let loose.

I wouldn't have to deal with this anymore.

As she said, I'm slowly losing myself to this battle going on in my mind.

If I lose, everything will get better, won't it?

I'm too tired to deal with anything right now.

My sanity is slipping away from me at this point.

Letting loose wouldn't be so bad, right?

"Hey, Mother and Father? Forgive me for all the sins I've committed. But, I can't stop now. If I do this, the whole world will be in my command," I said as I looked up with a sad smile.

"I am no longer human. I'm truly a Demon. The very one you hunted for your entire lives," I continued.

"The Legendary White Demon, Kim Y/N, has been reborn."
