Strange (Y/N's POV)

Flara dragged me all the way back to her house.

Her grip was tight on my hand.

It was almost as if she never wanted to let go of my hand ever again.

I didn't intend to meet Flara here.

It just happened.

She was laying on the bench outside for some reason.

She has a home, so I wondered why she didn't go there.

When we reached her house, Flara didn't go in, but she stopped right outside of it.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"N-Nothing. How about we stay outside instead? My house is really dirty, and it has a really annoying bug in it that won't go away," she explained, dragging me away from her house now.

I didn't complain and just kept on walking with her.

"Hey Flara. You're turning 25 this year, right?" I asked her.

"Yeah. I really can't believe you're 28 this year. You're so old!" she jokingly said with a chuckle.

Although, it wasn't her normal laugh.

It was different from what I remembered.

It almost sounded fake..

"I'm not much older than you, you know. We're only 3 years apart."

"Yeah yeah."

We carried on walking, when Flara's phone rang.

She looked at the caller ID, scoffed, then picked it up.

"What do you want?" she asked the caller.

She looked over at me and smiled.

She had put the phone on speaker.

"Flara! Where are you?! You haven't returned home yet!!" a familiar voice shouted.

"I'm fine. Don't underestimate me just because of my small body, Riku," she complained.

Riku?

Why is he calling her?

More importantly, I need to get out of here before she tells him I'm here.

I activated my ability to turn invisible and slowly walked away without making a sound.

"Hey, Y/N! Where did you go?" she asked out loud with the phone still on.

For some reason, I was almost sure that she had said that on purpose..

Well, I need to get out of here.

"Wait, Y/N?" he asked from the phone.

I quickly ran away from there and hid behind a nearby tree.

Just then, I saw Flara's door open and out came Riku.

"Flara!"

He ran towards Flara and looked around.

"Where is she?!" he asked.

"Who?" Flara said, playing dumb.

"Y/N! You just said her name!"

"Ah that. That was because I thought I saw someone that looked like Y/N, but it wasn't her. After all, Y/N left this place 5 years ago. She wouldn't just suddenly come back for no reason," she said, looking right at the tree I was hiding behind with a calm smile.

Ouch..

Did she mean to say that as an insult?

"Fine. Just make sure you notify me or anyone else if you see her. We were all looking for her because of the impact her disappearance did to Jimin."

As soon as he mentioned Jimin's name, I froze.

"I know," Flara said, glaring right through the tree and at me.

"What are you looking at?" he asked, looking over at the same tree.

"Nothing."

Riku continued to stare at the tree and furrowed his eyebrows.

"I sense something coming from those trees. Someone is hiding in there, watching us," he said.

Flara froze at what he said and so did I.

Shit, I forgot to deactivate my magic.

Demons can sense magic and curses.

He sensed mine.

Suddenly all of the loose leaves and branches around me began moving.

Riku's eyes were glowing silver now.

He was moving the leaves.

I have to get away.

I deactivated my magic and put on the hood of my cloak to hide my hair.

"Come out, whoever you are!" Riku shouted.

I started to run back into the forest.

As I ran, the leaves and the branches around me began lifting up.

The trees around me scratched against my armor and cloak.

I stopped running after the sound of footsteps behind me stopped.

I hid behind a tree and sat down, breathing heavily.

It was silent now.

No sound was heard for the next 5 minutes.

Just complete silence.

They're gone.

I sighed loudly and slumped my shoulders.

I need to get a new cloak.

This one's practically in pieces.

Damn Riku.

Damn his heightened senses.

He's much more rude now.

Back then, he was very polite and sweet.

He's changed now.

He looked different too.

His hair was now messy and a darker brown.

I sighed once again.

If I want to go back, then I need to avoid them.

I can't risk having them see me.

I stood up, dusting off myself off.

I walked a little further into the forest.

I'll set up here, so I can get some sleep.

As soon as I was done setting up, I fell asleep immediately.

When I woke up, I kept my eyes closed to shield them from the sunlight shining directly on my face.

Until...

Hey, there's something there.

Shut up, Aileen.

Wait, what?

I felt something poking my face.

I waved my arm up at what was touching me.

"Ah! So you are awake," a voice said.

I recognize this voice.

I jolted awake and stared at them.

"Oh god, not you."
