"Loving anyone is equivalent to risking everyone."
Your POV
"Just tell me Y/N! I don't get what the big deal is! Why are you being so dramatic?!" Yoongi yelled at me for the millionth time.
I rolled my eyes. This back and forth nonsense has been going on for months.
There were some things that shouldn't be shared in a relationship and this was one of them.
Yoongi and I had been going out for a little over a year. As open and loving as we were to each other, there was one thing he never knew about me, and that was my job.
He never ever knew what I did, and he tried to find out, but at one point he gave up, letting me have my job be a secret. But he recently had started bringing it up again and causing these petty arguments between us.
"Yoongi! You start these stupid arguments, so how on Earth am I being so dramatic?! For the last time, just drop it! I mean why does it concern you?! Does my job prevent you from going about your everyday life?!" I shouted back, too tired to deal with him.
His hands were balled into fists, "I'm going out."
And with that, he grabbed his coat and stormed out.
I buried my face in my knees.
What's the purpose of crying anymore.
My job wasn't something I could just tell anyone. Not even my family or closest friends knew what it was I did for a living.
Know one could know.
I worked for the government to put it simply. I have done extremely dangerous missions that have put my life and other's lives as risk.
Recently, I was dealing with a mob boss. But through careless error, I let one of his people escape. So now that person has taken over. They found out my phone number and threatened my family.
So now, I was on a mad hunt to find them to make sure they never hurt my family.
It was something that could really put their lives at risk.
I trudged to our bedroom, flopping on the bed. It wasn't like I didn't want Yoongi to know about my life. I'm the biggest advocator for trust and honesty in a relationship, but this was more than just a relationship. There was way more at stake.
I went on my computer to see if my boss had sent me any leads.
And that's when I noticed a mysterious email in my inbox. I was skeptical, but I clicked on it anyway because I knew that it had a very high chance of being something of importance to me.
When I opened the email the subject like was empty.
The message read:
Dearest Y/N,
It's been a while since we met. Ever since you put the boss away, I've been finding ways to get you back. I've recruited back the empire you destroyed, and now I'm going to crush you down to size. Just you watch. But since I'm a generous guy, I've removed your family as my target. Oh yes. I've found much better people. Hmm, let's see how about your best friends since kindergarten Kim Yoonjoo and Park Sejin. Those two lovely ladies seem pretty close to you. Or what about Min Yoongi?? The boyfriend. Hmm, he's quite the character. I think I know who I want to go after. I'll find him Y/N. And then I'll move to everyone else you love, plucking them off of their stem too until the flower filled of your loved ones is desolate and dried.
