                          "I'm going to distract him while you two escape." Aunt Alexandra planned. Before she could run off Atticus grabbed her shoulder.
                             "No, sister, maybe there's a better way." Atticus suggested.

                              "Maybe this is the better way." She said.
                              "I can't let you do this, Alexandra, please." He pleaded. 
                             "I need to make up for what I've said to you and your kids. I love you both." She said, then jerked away and ran outside. Atticus hid his face and Jem hugged him. This was all Jem's fault.
