"You're alone. Where's Dean?" I ask Hanna as she leans on her locker holding her books.
"He's at football practice." She answered without looking at me. She seems lost in some thought.
"What's wrong? Did you two fight again? I don't want to be in the middle of it. I don't want to get drag by both of you like a child with divorced parents." I wave my hand pertaining no at her ready to walk away.
"No." She grabs my hand to make me stay in place. "We didn't fight." She looks at me with her still confused expression.
"Then what's the matter?" I place both my hands on my hip.
"I find Liam odd when Astrid is around. It seems like he likes her or something." I roll my eyes at her then another assumption.
"Stop feeding my thoughts with your impulsive theories." I lean on the locker next to her. "Remember when you also said that Ms. Hawkins was sleeping with the Coach..." I glanced at the area if someone could be listening. "and it blew up like crazy that the wife confronted her about having an affair with her husband." I said in a low voice that only we can hear or we'll be in trouble for spreading a false rumor.
"Yeah, I think I should shut up." She nodded eagerly as the thought finally snaps her back to reality.
"And that thing about letter H and C was not my fault. Someone must have heard us talking and told everyone." Hanna said clearing her guilty verdict.
"Okay, okay." I nodded. "Let's just go to class."

"Thank you, Ellie, for reading the passage." Ms. Vega says with a nodding smile. "That's how it should be read."
"That's totally not fair, she's from the theater club." Marvin commented with a boo expression.
"Oh, shut up stoner boy. If only you'd actually try and learn from this class then you can read like Ellie." Ms. Vega slams her palm at Michelle's desk that startles the poor girl. "If every single one of you tries hard to appreciate the class then you'll learn, right Mr. Levinson?" She raises her brow towards Liam but he just kept his poker face on.
"So, as assignment write a minimum of 500 words essay explaining the message of what just Ellie read. It's due on Friday." Ms. Vega pushes her eyeglasses up in between her eyes. Everybody groans by the announcement. "Blame Marvin for it. Class dismissed."
"You suck!" One of the guys throwing a crumpled paper towards Marvin.
"You too!" Marvin holding his middle finger up before walking towards the door.
"I don't want to do it." Hanna tugging on the hem of my shirt groaning.
"Don't worry, I got you." I wink at her. "I like writing about those things so I'll do it."
"Really?" She exclaims happily. I nodded. "You are the best among the best. I'll treat you some chili fries later." She clings on my arm happily.
We are by the door when out of nowhere Lucas appeared, somehow startling both Hanna and I.
"Sorry." Giving a cheeky grin.
"What do you want?" Liam asks we didn't even notice he was standing behind us.
"I missed you that's all." He told Liam but was directly looking at me and winked.
Such a playboy I thought.
"Oh my gosh!" Hanna squeals as she witnesses Lucas's action.
"Let's go." I drag her out of the room and away from the two boys.
