Maxine have been giving me death glares every time I see her - at the hallway, canteen, and just every where possible.
"What did you do to her?" Dean ask shivering like a cool wind pass by.
"No clue." I shrug my shoulders as we continue to walk to our class. When a commotion suddenly happened.
"What is going on?" Dean asks craning his head towards the direction of the building commotion. Before I could even respond to his question, he grab my hand and pulled me to it. "Let us see!" We push our to get to see what was happening.
My eyes widen as I saw Damon furiously gripping Liam by his collar. "You two faced asshole! You think you are better than everyone else in this school, but in fact you're nothing but a spoiled rich pretty boy yearning for someone's affection." He push him once again and by the sound of it, it should hurt but Liam's expression stayed the same. He wasn't bothered at all.
I wanted to step in and just push Damon off Liam, when I was about to do it a view of Astrid just standing next to Liam was what I saw. I was immediately confused on why she was just standing there and not doing anything to save Liam.
I know that they are keeping their relationship, but she should find other ways to help him in this situation.
"Stop spitting bullshit and just get this over with." Liam spoke with making Damon angrier. I glance at Astrid one last time but she displays nothing.
"Son of a bitch!" Damon already has his fist up ready to punch Liam. I wasn't like Astrid, I won't let the person I like get hurt.
Without thinking I took my right shoe off and threw it at Damon. "Hey!" I shouted as my shoe collided with his back.
"Fuck!" He yelled scanning the area, looking to whom threw the shoe and not a few second his eyes fell on me. "Bitch!" He called out to me. Everyone's gaze shifted towards me. It made me anxious but I didn't care.
Damon march towards me and my knees began to shake all of a sudden.
"You dumb Bitch!" He already ready to slap me, I squeeze my eyes shut ready for his hands. A loud thud was heard but I feel nothing, no pain at all. Before I could open my eyes to see what actually happen, some one grab my hand and drag me out of the scene.
I was running away with Liam. I try to turn and look from where we at and only saw a glimpse of Damon laying on the floor.

We finally stopped by a bench just at the edge of the school property. We are both catching our breaths. I feel like after that running escape, I could qualify for the track team.
As I calm myself and fix my breathing, I stare at Liam fanning himself with his shirt on one hand and fanning himself with the other.
"Are you alright?" I ask him. He turn to look at me. I was taken aback from his expression he seems angry to be honest. "Are you-"
I was about to ask him again when he spoke. "Are you insane?"
"What?" I furrowed my brows confused at his question.
"You practically ask Damon to bully you for the rest of your high school life." He annoyedly threw his hands in the air.
"I don't care." I said.
"Y-you don't care? Like you don't fucking care?" He ask me much in disbelief.
"No." I answer him.
"You are absolutely insane." He facepalm himself. "You shouldn't have done that. You should have just minded your own business."
"I couldn't just stand there and do nothing." I told him with determination. "Why would you turn a blind eye? You're my.. you're my friend."
"You could have... he could have.. oh my god! Ellie!" He's pacing back and forth in an absolute annoyed manner.
"I did it..." I walk towards him. "I did that because I care about you." I shakily slowly took his hand.
"But-" he still wasn't looking at me straight in the eyes.
"I'm fine. It's okay. I can handle a couple of bullies in my life and if ever I can't, I'll call out your name and don't you dare not show up." I squinted my eyes as I point my finger at him.
"This is not a fucking joke. I'm being serious." He scowls at me.
"I know, I know. Just think of it like you owe me your life." I wink at him. I gave him a two thumbs up with a toothy grin.
"I think it's the other way around." He rolls his eyes at me.
"I beg to disagree. If it weren't for my shoe, you're the one laying on the floor." I raise a brow at him. I glance toward my right foot with my now dirty sock.
"Okay, fine." He mumbles.
"What? Did you say something?" I lean towards him in a mocking way, smirking.
"Fine." He repeats.
"Alright." I give him another thumbs up.
"But..." he purse his lips together. "Your shoe?" I pointed.
"I'm Cinderella anyways." I said giggling. He shook his head chuckling from what I said.
"You're really something." He says.
"Ellie! Ellie!" I heard Dean call out. He came running towards Liam and I with Hanna following him. "I'm sorry. I should have-" Hanna did not let him finish and push him aside.
"I am so worried." Hanna immediately engulf me into an embrace. "When Dean told me, I immediately hit him for not sticking up for you." She glares at Dean looking regretful.
"It's fine everything happened so fast. He was not to blame." I told her. I look at Dean and gestured for him to come closer.
"I'm sorry." He said. I also gave him a hug.
"It's fine. No worries." I pinch both of his cheeks.
"Are you okay?" Hanna ask Liam just standing there.
"Yeah." He nodded. "I would have had a bruise by now, if it weren't for Ellie." He gestures to me.
"Right, because she's dumb." Hanna said. "But in a good way."
"Thanks, I guess." I say.
"Stupid." Hanna smacking my head.
