Chapter 44: Partner

Liam and I had been dating for 2 months now. Everything is doing okay and the most good news is that he had finally talked to his parents and they promised that they'll be much involve in his life and that they we're only doing what they thought was good for his well being.

His dad tries his best to come home at least 3 times a week and his mom decided to work from home as possible. Liam's been really cheerful after the reconciliation that happened in his family. We even had dinner at their place last Saturday night.

"I got an A- on Mr. Gomez's class." Hanna announced showing off her paper. "About you all? Well, clearly except for Liam. We know you aced it."

"I did." Liam said boastful. We all laugh at him.

"I got a B+. I totally missed that one point." Dean said snapping his finger in frustration.

"How about you?" Hanna ask me.

"Just as always." I said lowering my shoulder. "I only got an A+ on the test." I put the paper high proudly.

"You did?" Hanna snatching it out of my grasp. "She really did."

"Because I have an excellent tutor." I said linking my arms with Liam's. "Thank you."

"Sure." He kisses the top of my head.

"The perks of dating the smart one." Hanna says with jealousy.

"Hey! Boyfriend in the room." Dean raining his hand at Hanna.

"I know." She rolls her eyes at him. Liam and I laugh at the two getting into yet another confrontation. We just let them do their thing, we'll just see them after a few minutes making out with each other.

"I'll walk you to class." Liam said as he intertwines our fingers together. I happily nodded and rest my head on his shoulder. I don't mind PDA, I like it when Liam's trying to be clingy even if he sucks at it.

Mr. Gomez called out to Liam before we could left the classroom. "Liam, I forgot to tell you something. Can you stay for a while?"

"I'll go ahead. See you at lunch." I gave his hand a squeeze and left.

"I'm hungry." I announce as I sat down to my usual seat.

"Like when are you not." Lucas said as he sit down just after I did.

"Thanks." I roll my eyes at him. I fish my bag for the lunch that I made for Liam and I, though I always make sure to make extras for my friend. "Eat this and shut up!" I shove a turkey sandwich to his chest.

He broke into a smile. "You that I love you right?" He unwraps and took a huge bite on it. "But in a friendly and non-sexual way." He added.

"Shut up!" I told him.

"Where's mine?" Dean pulling a chair for Hanna to sit. I gave them both their sandwiches. "Thanks."

"Is Liam not joining us for lunch?" Hanna ask looking for Liam.

"I don't know. He didn't say." I said with a frown. "But I know he'll be here shortly."

Not a moment later Liam enter the cafeteria but a sight next to him put me in such an off mode. Was he with Astrid this whole time?

"I think I smell trouble." Lucas said taking another bite in his sandwich. I didn't bother to glance at Liam when he took his seat next to me.

"Where have you been?" I slide the sandwich in front of him but still not sparing him a glance.

"At the math department office, Mr. Gomez told me that I'm going on a mathlete competition and will be representing the school." He informs.

"Why are you with her?" I finally look up to face him.
