I'm wearing the shirt that I practically stole from Liam's closet that I didn't bother to return. It's comfortable and it reminds me of him. It's a 2 hour drive from our time to the contest venue.
I'm really excited what kind of reaction will he have, when he see me cheering him there. I glance at my phone for the instruction on where the venue was. I made a placard that I want to use when I cheer at him.
When I got to the place, I had difficulty finding an empty spot because a lot of people are here to watch. I sprayed the perfume I had been using for the last 2 months ever since Liam complimented me with it. Taking my prop I step out of the car.
I made my way to the auditorium which the event is being held. I'm excited to see him. I made my way to an empty seat as I scan the place for Liam. I texted him Goodluck this morning but he didn't reply, I just brush it off thinking that he's probably busy preparing.
"We are now on our next batch of contestants. Glendale High School, Vikings." The announcer pointed on the right and the competitors from the other school entered the stage. "Versus Hamilton High School, Jaguars." Liam and Astrid enter the stage then sat on their seat.
I cheered as loud as I could when our school was announced. Liam in his button down light blue shirt looks so sophisticated and hot. I waved at him eagerly hoping he'll me, I held my placard high. When he finally noticed it, I waved at him excitedly as I gestured at the placard that says You can do it, Goodluck. He just stared at it.
The contest was down to it's last question. The score was tied and they need to be faster than the opponent on pressing the buzzer or we'll lose.
The problem was already given and they had to solve it to get the right answer. Everyone at the audience are silent as we all wait in anticipation. When Liam pressed the buzzer, my world suddenly stopped and prated that it was correct.
"What is your answer?" The announcer ask him.
"1/2" He confidently answers. The announcer glance at his card before he looks at Liam and then to the audience.
"That is correct!" He announces and the audience cheered loudly. "Congratulations to the winners." He gestured to Liam and Astrid. I proudly clap my hands but just when Astrid decided to jump and hug Liam, I stopped and frown.
The winners were given a trophy and the school will be benefited with brand new computers as reward. When the awarding was finished, I quickly went to greet Liam.
"Congratulations! I know I made the right choice." Mr. Gomez said as he handshake with Liam.
"Thank you, sir." Liam politely said.
Mr. Gomez turn to Astrid next. "Good job as always."
"Thank you." She nodded at him. I slowly made my way waiting for Mr. Gomez to finish his words. He walks down the stage and saw me. "Ellie." He smiles at me but shooks his head.
"Hi Mr. Gomez." I greeted him. He just pat my shoulder and went on his way. I approach Liam and Astrid. "Congratulations!" I greeted them both.
"Why are you here?" Liam ask his expression annoyed, unlike when he was being greeted my Mr. Gomez.
"To support you. I thought-" I didn't get a chance to finish my words because he decided to drag me out of the auditorium. He lead us to the parking area.
"You're suppose to be in school and not here." He spat out of frustration.
"Hanna's taking notes for me. I don't think skipping one day of school will hurt." I said smiling. "Congra-"
"You skip school because you wanted to watch. Do you think it's a great idea? Great, why don't you just not attend school and sell silly placards on the street instead." He said taking the placard out of my hand and throwing it.
I glance at the placard that now settles on the ground. "I think supporting you was a good idea to skip. Why is this such a big deal? I've skip school several times before, I know it won't hurt my grades if it concerns you." I pointed out. "Don't be too harsh when all I just wanted was to support you."
"That's the thing about you, you don't care of anything else other than yourself." He angrily said.
I was taken aback from what he said. "I care about you that's why I'm here."
"No, Ellie. You're here because you want to and not for me." He said. "Because if you really thought about me, I would have wanted you in school and taking your classes."
"I don't know where this shit is coming from." I push him. "But you can just tell me straight in the face that you don't want me here." I took the placard on the ground, now I am hurt. "I'm sorry, I only wanted to be here and be the first one to congratulate you. I'm sorry." I glance at the placard on my hand. "And I'm sorry about this silly placard." I tore it in half and finally walk away to the car.

I didn't want to go home yet. My dad will probably ask why I'm home already when I told him that I might be late. I decided to come to a diner and just drown my sorrow on a tasty burger and shake.
I glance at my phone just beside my plate. He didn't even bother to text if I'm home or if I even got home safe. "You jerk!" I said to my phone as I saw my wallpaper which was him. "You can't just be happy that I came to see you."
"Woah, I didn't know you're that crazy to be talking to a phone." Someone said whom I instantly recognize to be clark. He slide himself at the booth where I was. "Hi!"
"Why are you here?" I ask not happy to see him.
"I was just going to grab a bite and saw you talking to your phone." He said.
"Why don't you change booth and grab your food?" I said not in the mood because I am already annoyed.
"What got you so mad? Did you got dump?" He said with a mocking face.
I glare at him. "No. Just get lost will you."
"But I think you did." He nodded. "Or maybe he wasn't even your boyfriend that's why you're so annoyed." He laugh at me.
"He is my boyfriend for your information." I slam my hand at the table.
"Prove it." He raise his brow at he lean back. I grab my phone and show him a photo of Liam. "That's impossible." He shook his head.
"I'm telling the truth." I insisted.
"Okay, okay. Geez, I don't want to see you crying. I don't want your dad to find out and think that I made you cry." He held his hand up.
"Then just shut up." I demanded biting at my burger.
"Okay." He nodded.
