I'm doing my homework that was supposed to be submitted yesterday but I forgot to make it, that's why I'm trying to finish it before lunch break ends.

"Hey, been looking for you everywhere." Liam sitting on a seat next to me.

"What do you need?" I ask him not even bothering to glance his way as I was focused on finishing the homework.

"Can we skip practice later?" He ask. "I just need to be somewhere later."

"Yeah, sure. Just be sure to memorize your lines and try to remember the actions." I reminded him.

"I will. Thanks." He was about to stand when he suddenly remember something. "Do you have a ride to Lucas's party tomorrow night?"

"Thinking to come with Hanna and Dean." I told him.

"I can give you a ride, so you won't feel like a third-wheel." He offers.

I finally glance towards him. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's not like we haven't been on the same car like almost everyday." He says. "So, what?"

"Yeah, okay." I nodded.

"Cool. Be ready at 9. I'll get going then, I don't want to be late." He pats the top of my head and left.

Hannah yet again abandoned me to go on a date with Dean. She just texted me ignoring our earlier plan to grab some chili fries at the new opened book cafe.

I only took the books that I needed for homework, shoving it inside my backpack and head to the building exit.

"Hey!" Lucas appearing out of no where, startling me a little. "Sorry, was it too much?"

"It's fine." I told him.

"Thought you left with Liam earlier." He said now walking with me.

"He cancelled. He said he needed to be somewhere." I inform him.

"Oh..." he nodded. "Going home already?"

"No, I'm also going somewhere." I was about to push the door open, when he beat me to it. He was holding the door for me. "Thanks."

He only smiles. "Are you with someone? Your friends?"

"Hanna and I supposed to go there together but she stood me up for a date with Dean." I answered.

"Well, if you want I can accompany you." He offers. I look at him with a surprised expression. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Are you sure? Like don't you have anywhere else to be." I said.

"No." He exhale in disappointment. "Why you don't want to hangout with me?"

"It's not like that. It's just, is it okay for you to be seen with me?" I pointed to myself.

"Why? Aren't friends suppose to hangout? We are friends right?" I nodded in response. "So, where's that place we are going? Will there be food?"

"It's a newly opened book cafe, people who already went there said the food is good." I answered.

"That's alright with me." He usher me to his car, opened the door for me and reminded me to put on my seatbelt. "Do you want to listen to some music while we drive?"

"Sure." I nodded. He opened the stereo and it played his unfinished Jazz music. "I didn't know you liked Jazz, thought you'd be more like a band type of person or more Drake songs."

"I like different types of Genre, I even listens to Kpop and I am not ashamed of that. It just all depends on the mood I'm in that day." He explains to me.

"That's a first. What mood were you that made you listen to Jazz?" I ask.

"I was annoyed earlier because of practice and Jazz calms me." He informs, he glances at me from time to time while talking. "Have you ever experience or relate yourself to a song and it makes you in a good mood?"

"Yes." I nodded.

"That's how music affects me." I smiled from his sudden confession. "Why are you smiling? Does it make me look gay?" He also smiles.

"No." I shook my head. "It only makes you more real."

"Real?" I nodded. "Well, that's a weird description but okay. I'll take it as a compliment."

"Because it is a compliment." I assure him.

"Okay, how about you any favorite genre?" He asks.

"I mostly like Pop but RnB is also alright." I told him.

"Want to sing a Beyonce song?" He says changing the music.

"No, no." I said waving my hand to refuse.

"Come on, just one song." He plays the song Halo in the car. "Try this one, this is a good song."

"Nope" Shaking my head no.

"Remember those walls I built. Well, baby, they're tumbling down." He started singing the lyrics and my jaw felt like it fell to the ground. He's sings good. "And they didn't even put up a fight. They didn't even make a sound." He continued.

"Wow! Didn't know you'd be great at this." I said out of amazement.

"Well, I'm a person with too many great characteristics. How'd you think girls like me, except with my perfectly shape body and handsome face?" He gestured to his body.

"Your narcissistic attitude?" I said sarcastically.

"Wow! Sassy much?" He laughs. "How about you sing now?"

"Still a no." I stick a tongue out at him. He rolls his eyes at me and changed it to a Kpop song Fancy by Twice. He started doing the choreography inside the car while driving, I couldn't stop laughing the whole ride to the book cafe.

"Ladies first." Lucas opening the door of the cafe for me.

"Thanks." I said before entering. We ordered some fries and frappe for the both of us. We were given a beeping device that indicates if our order is ready.

We both took our seat next to a long bookshelf. I took a book out and scan its pages.

"You like books?" He ask me.

"I like reading novels. It doesn't matter if its an e-book or not." I told him putting the book back and taking another one. "How about you? Do you like to read?"

"No, I easily get sleepy just looking at how thick the book is. I prefer movies. Aren't there movies that are live action adaptions of books?"

"There are, but I like the book versions of it. There are just some detail that live actions don't give justice to, though I am not saying It's not good." I explained.

"Well, I don't have any comment about that as I don't have any book to compare to a live action, as I haven't read much of those types before." He says.

"Have you watched Percy Jackson?" I ask him. "You know if you don't like reading there is this thing called audio books."

"Audio books?" He ask with furrowed brows.

"Yeah, like instead of reading the book yourself, the book is being read to you." I explains.

"Wow! That is interesting." He says with awe.

"I'll send you some audio books for you to try. It's really convenient too." I told him.

"I'll definitely would like to try that out." He nodded.

We ended up enjoying each others company. We even found out that we actually have a lot of similarities with each other. The rest of the afternoon went by that I didn't even notice it.
