Chapter 49: Maybe

We have the next period free and luckily I have that class with Liam. I went straight to him after the teacher said dismissed. "Hi!" Catching his attention. "Wanna hangout and do something fun?" I wiggle my brows in a naughty. "Like if you know what I mean?" I wink at him.

He scrunch his nose. "I'm sorry, I need to be somewhere else."

I immediately frown from his answer. "Where? We don't have next period. I wanna spend some time with you." I tug his arm.

"I really can't. You know I'm preparing a lot of things for the university I wanted to get in." He says patting my head with his free arm.

"Okay, I don't want you to call me selfish again." I let go of his arm. "When are we going to hangout? I miss you."

"How about I come visit you at your house later." He says.

"You're not giving me a ride home later too." I pout. "But okay, I'll just see you at home later."

"Thank you. I gotta go." He peck me on my cheeks and went on his way.

"Where's your boyfriend going?" Hanna ask handing me the book I left at my desk.

"He said he needed to finish some things for his beloved university." I still frown at the thought that I won't be spending my free hour with him.

"It's alright you can accompany me." She links our arms together.

"Where?" I ask him.

"I need to find out something that I've been curious about." I furrowed my brows at her. "I want to know who the new secretary is sleeping with. I heard that she's been seeing this student."

"No." I push her away from me. "I am not getting drag at this."

"Come on. Aren't you curious?" She ask me in disbelief. "You always come with me to this things."

"I usually say no." I pointed out my defense.

"Yeah, but you'll grow itchy and get tired then you finally decides to come with me." She grab my wrist. "Let's go."

"Liam's going to get mad if he found out about this." I told her.

"I'll tell him that it's my idea." She drag me out of the classroom.

We are now sitting at our usual table for lunch. Hanna's so amaze of her detective skills, we actually found out that the new secretary is not only seeing a student but a same sex student.

"I knew that I have a calling for crime investigation. I could definitely pass as a detective." I roll my eyes at her assumption.

"You found out about it because Ariana told you so." I said.

"But still, I found out about it. If and if I didn't ask Ariana we wouldn't have that precious information with us." She proudly said, smiling at me triumphantly.

"Okay, whatever you say." I wave my hand at her nonchalantly. "But I hope this will not get out. I don't want people to point at us if this thing blew up."

"No worries. It won't." She confidently said.

"You said that the last time and it was chaotic." I told her in discompliance.

"Are you really my bestfriend? You somehow lost faith in me." She acted hurt from what I said.

"I'm sorry but I'm just speaking the truth." I held my hand up.

"What truth?" Dean ask sitting next to Hanna. Lucas following him as he sit next to me.

"Just some girl stuff." Hanna said turning to give Dean a kiss on the cheek.
