I help prepared with the food for tonight. Dad invited Liam at our house but this time as my boyfriend, Riley's also coming because I told dad about the sofa incident that I witness.
"Did your brother already left to get Riley?" Dad ask taking the chicken out of the oven.
"I haven't heard him left." I said washing my hands after finishing making the dessert.
"Call him will you and tell him dinner will be serve at 7." He said checking if the chicken's cooked properly. I walk over the edge of the stairs.
"Jacob! Dad said you should leave now, so you'll be in time for dinner." I shouted from the staircase.
"I'm leaving!" He rush down the stairs walking pass me. His overpowering cologne enter my nose, I plugged my nose instantly.
"Oh my god! Did you shower in cologne water?" I said fanning the air.
"It's a gift from Riley." He said proudly. "Doesn't it smell so nice." He tries to lean towards me, but I quickly stepped back.
"It's nice, if only you know how to properly use it." I said sarcastically.
"Whatever!" He roll his eyes at me. "Dad, I'm leaving." He yelled before finally leaving.
I went back to the kitchen. Dad was already mixing the tuna sauce with the pasta. I sniff the air, it smells like a 5 star restaurant in here.
"Everything smells amazing." I commented.
"I know right." He proudly said. "Your mom really married me because of my cooking."
"How'd you know that?" I said as I stand next to him.
"Because she couldn't cook anything." He says as he remembered her.
"I know, she couldn't even cook eggs without burning them." We both chuckled at the memory.
"And you my good daughter is just like your mom." He pinches my nose, making fun of me. "You can't cook shit."
"At least, i'm good at baking unlike Jacob. He'll be worst." We laugh harder as we imagine Jacob creaming like a girl while frying something.
"You better ask Liam if he knows how to cook or you'll both starve yourself." He says as he turn the fire off.
"Dad, if ever that's the case. We still have takeouts as option." I pointed out.
I saw Liam's car pullover our driveway and I quickly walk towards to the porch to welcome him. I wave happily at him as he hop out of his car. He smiles as he saw me waiting for him.
"Turn around." He said as he wait for me to comply. I turn my back as what he said. He walk towards me and lean by my side giving me a bouquet of roses. "Hi!" He said kissing my cheeks.
"Aw, Hi." As I happily took the flowers in my hands. "They're beautiful." I smell them.
"Not as beautiful as you." He winks at me. The butterflies in my stomach went on a riot.
"Thanks." I couldn't hold my smile back.
We both entered and Liam greeted Dad who was still busy at the kitchen. Liam offered to help but Dad declined. He said your here as an official guest and not just the kid you homecrash during dinner.
I've already put the flower in a face and place it near my mom's picture.
"Is Riley coming over too?" He ask as I try to open the television for him.
"Yeah." I nodded taking the remote and sitting next to him. "Though I'm still not sure if they're really dating, their flirtationship's been happening for years and it's gone really confusing." I told him.
"I understand. But what do you think about it now?" He ask placing his arms over my shoulder.
"They are definitely together." I said turning the television on. "What do you want to watch? A mathlete competition?" I ask mocking him.
"Yeah, it's fine." He didn't know I was just kidding.
"It was a joke. I don't even know if they actually air it." I told him as I burst out laughing. He just shook his head at me. "How about we settle with watching Young Sheldon. I wonder if your like him when you're little."
"I don't know, I need to see the show first." He said already attach with the television.
"Never mind, I think he's definitely you." I said as a conclusion.

We are all now enjoying the dinner. The food was great and the atmosphere is quite comforting to be honest, like we are already a family.
Jacob and Riley already told us that they're officially together for almost a month now. I was hurt that Jacob didn't even bother to tell me about them being together.
"Do you want some more chicken?" I ask Liam before I offer him the chicken.
"Isn't that sweet." Jacob cooing at us.
"Shut up!" I kick him under the table. He just glare at me and did nothing else.
We are now eating the dessert I prepared and everyone gladly likes it, but of course Jacob has something to say about it as always.
"If you don't like it, then stop eating it." I roll my eyes at him.
"It's alright, I like it." Liam cupping my hand at his. His compliment was the only thing that matters.
"Thanks." I sweetly said.
Dad let out a deep sigh before speaking. "I know that both of my kids are in a relationship and maybe it's time to have the talk."
The four of us was in a total horror. "Dad, I don't think it's appropriate right now." I said in gritted teeth. I glance at both Liam and Riley, they're both in so much surprise.
Dad immediately burst into so much laughter. "Oh my god! If only all of you could've seen your faces. It was like you've seen Slenderman walking towards you."
"It wasn't funny." I complain.
"Dad, it was worse than Slenderman. It was like meeting the Satan, face to face." Jacob said annoyed.
"I should've recorded that moment. It was freaking hilarious." Dad still laughing hysterically.
"Dad, please you're embarrassing us further." I cup my face to hide it.
"I'm just kidding." He wave his hand at us. "I'll be happy to meet my grandparents if it's what you plan. I'm talking to Jacob not the two of you." He narrowed his eyes being serious this time. I saw Riley's cheeks became red from what my dad said.
"I think it'll be some time in the future." Riley said pursing her lips together shyly.
"Just be sure I'll still be around to see them." He smiles at my brother and Riley.

The dinner finally ended. Liam and I volunteered to do the dishes. "I'm sorry about dad." I said to Liam, while he dries the plates.
"Sorry about what?" He ask me.
"You know, he's quirkiness and jokes." I said biting my inner cheek.
"Have you forgotten that before we even dated, I already learn that side of your dad and I think it's cool." He smiles.
"Really? Because you can be honest with me about it and I won't be mad." I raised my brow at him disbelief that he think my dad is cool.
"It's true. I think he's cool." He nodded. "My dad's pretty much out of the country or somewhere, I kinda even forgot how's he like." He says.
"By the way, are you going to..." I bite my lower lip unsure of what I'd say. "When will you introduce me to your parents, like officially?" I tried to let my stare focus on the plates I was washing.
"My parents are quite all over the place. Setting the meet up will be hard." He told me. My face fell but I do understand that they're busy, they even leave their son in the care of helpers.
"I understand. It's fine." I said.
