Chapter 38: Best Part

I am still pursuing Liam just how I decided to do just before I finally get his answer. Hanna and Dean would tell me that I was being overly dramatic at pursuing Liam but I didn't care at all.

The whole week, I would leave him notes in his locker, I text him everytime when I felt like I missed him, check on him if he was doing okay, I make him sandwiches or bento boxes for lunch and I make sure to tell him that I like him.

I saw Liam with Lucas walking to lunch and ran towards them. "Hey!" I said as I appeared next to Liam.

"What the hell!" Lucas exclaims as he saw me. I roll my eyes at him. "Are you always that ugly? It pains my eyes to look at you."

"Then don't look." I tried to kick him on his leg but he move away before I even could. "And for your information, many people have complimented that I look good today."

"Those people have poor taste." He made a gagging sound.

"I think you look pretty." Liam said. It made me stop on my tracks, my heart's fluttering inside my chest that It gave me butterflies in my stomach.

"Shit! She's going to burst." Lucas commented as they scan my face. Just on cue, I started jumping up and down. "She did."

"Really? Really?" I ask Liam as I continue to jump and down. "Really?"

He grip both my shoulder to stop me from jumping. "I said you did." He repeats.

"Thanks!" I couldn't help myself that I wrap my arms around him. I heard some gasps from some of the girls walking by. I gave them a growl to just mind their own business. I shortly pulled away from him, even though I  didn't want to. "So, does that mean you like me now?" I ask him.

He shrug his shoulder and began to walk again. His answer made Lucas laugh so hard.

"If only you could see your face." He pointed his finger at me still laughing.

"Shut up!" I scowl at him and followed Liam inside the cafeteria.

We are all sitting on the same table that consist Hanna next to Dean and Me being in between of Lucas and Liam. They've been bugging me why I only bring Liam lunch, that's why I decided to make everyone lunch today.

"Wow!" Dean clapping his hands. Ready to devour the food in front of him.

"Did you really made them all?" Lucas looking at the food I brought.

"Of course." I said giggling. I made some turkey sandwiches, egg rolls, chicken pops, tacos and I even sliced some fruits for dessert.

"It must have taken you long to prepare them all." Liam says as he looks at me.

"It's fine." I shook my head. "Why don't you have some sandwich." I hand him one.

When everybody was eating the food I made. I just stare at Liam as I eat some fruits. He looks cute even when he's eating. He gestured for me to also eat but I said I was okay with the fruits.

"Hey guys! Slow down." Hanna said as Dean and Lucas are having an eating contest.

"You two are ridiculous." I commented. I went to look at Liam again, I notice that he stopped eating and was staring at something. I followed his gaze and saw Astrid  with Damon. He probably sense that caught him and he glance towards me, I only gave him a smile.

I don't make a big deal about things like that, because I should remind myself that he too is hurting and that I can't be selfish with it.

"I'm excited for the bonfire later." I heard Hanna say, so I averted my eyes towards her.
