Sesshomaru watched as more cracks began to form in the stone, the faint glow slowly dimming into nothing as the cracks became larger, a piece of the stone chipping off, which revealed pale skin. Piece by piece, the stone broke off, Rin growing excited when she saw dark hair and the same pair of ears on top of her head, Jaken's eyes widening he saw a female demon laying in the center of where the stone used to be, in a small cradle, as if she were in an egg shell. For the first time in a very long time, Naomi could feel her breath, she could feel the cold air against her skin, Sesshomaru watching as her eyes opened just a bit,

"Mm" Naomi hummed softly "hm?" looking up slightly

Naomi's vision was blurred from not using her eyes, she was finally back in her body, but the thing she found strange was that she could only remember bits and pieces of what just happened. Sesshomaru sheathed his blade, his bright amber eyes connecting with her deep blue, crouching down and slipping his arm under Naomi's shoulder, curling it across her upper back as his other arm curled under the crook of her knees, picking her up. A small whine emitted from her at the discomfort of her strangely sore body, curling up into his embrace and burying her face into the fur that lay over his right shoulder,

Soft

Wait a second

Sesshomaru watched as her eyes opened a little more, nearly alert, her left hand slowly reaching up, the back of her hand making contact with the fur where she rested her head, the dog demon noticing black pointed claws.

I can feel it

A small smile formed on her lips, her eyes closing as she leaned against the man that held her, feeling her body drain of consciousness. It was strange for Sesshomaru as he looked down at the young demon in his arms, her ears laying limp as she slept, but he could feel her body beginning to shake because of the cold, which made him wonder how long she had been imprisoned within the stone.

"Jaken" Sesshomaru said in his usual monotone voice

"Yes, Mi'Lord?" Jaken asked, looking up at him

"Find a suitable place to rest and look after Rin" he ordered "I will return soon"

Without another word, Sesshomaru tightened his hold on the woman in his arms before leaping into the air, flying in the direction of a village he knew would be able to help her regain strength. While flying through the air, he couldn't help but glance down at the woman in his arms, noting that she had been wearing a very old kimono, which must have been made when she was younger because of the flower and butterfly design. His eyes turned back to the scenery in front of him, the trees quickly flying by, passing over a river, flying in the direction of the village.

.

Lady Kaede sat next to the female fox demon, who lay asleep on a mat in her hut, it surprised her that Lord Sesshomaru of the Western Lands arrived at the village and walked right into the hut, informing her that the female demon had just been released from her confinement within a stone and that Rin had been the only one to see her before she was released, then leaving without anything else said. The older woman looked at the demon that lay asleep, a bucket of hot water in front of her, a cloth in her hands as she reached out and gently cleaning the dirt from her skin. She noticed the black crescent moon that was on her forehead when the dirt was cleaned off,

She had not seen a mark like that before, which caused her to grow curious over the young woman, seeing that she had black claws, her eyebrows furrowing slightly, reaching out and gently lifting her upper lip, seeing that she also had fangs

She had not seen a mark like that before, which caused her to grow curious over the young woman, seeing that she had black claws, her eyebrows furrowing slightly, reaching out and gently lifting her upper lip, seeing that she also had fangs.

"Ye are a curious one" Kaede muttered, leaning back and dropping her hand to her side

A small sigh emitted from her nose, Kaede standing on her feet, walking to the entrance of her hut and dumping out the dirty water, setting it down and walking over to the fire, stirring the soup she had been making, and was glad she made extra. Just outside the village, a small group of travelers had been making their way to the entrance, but one of them perked their head up, sniffing the air, his eyes widening slightly at the scent. He hopped out of the basket he was seated in, running as fast as he could in the direction of Kaede's hut,

"Shippo?" A monk asked

"Where's he going?" A woman with a bicycle asked

The young child, who was known as Shippo, ran into the hut of Kaede, his breathing heavy as his eyes instantly connected with the body of a woman who lay unconscious. His nose twitched as he sniffed the air, his head perking up when he caught her scent, hesitantly making his way over to her, sitting down next to her arm and looking at her.

"She came to me not long ago" Kaede informed

"Who's this?" A half demon asked as he and the others entered the hut

"Her name is unknown" Kaede replied

"Then what do you know, hag?" He asked rudely

"I know that she was imprisoned in stone" she responded, pouring the soup in some bowls for travelers, "for how long, I don't know. Which means she may not be used to her body. Sit, eat, rest before your travels"

Kaede handed each of them a bowl of hot soup, the travelers happily taking one and sitting down, Shippo looking at the fox demon that lay sleeping in front of him, noticing the crescent moon on her forehead, which looked familiar to him. Shippo ate his soup, but he didn't leave Naomi's side, surprising the others in the group, but they figured he attached himself to her because of her being a fox demon, and he hasn't seen many others, even while they were travelling throughout the land to find more Shikon jewel shards. They just hoped that the unconscious fox demon wasn't going to cause trouble when she woke up.
