Sesshomaru's Euphoria

The group had spent a few days in the village, relaxing for a little while before they went out to find more jewel shards, Naomi still hasn't woken up, one of them thought she was dead, but Shippo refused to believe it, he didn't want to think of her dying. She seemed too strong to die,

"Lady Kaede?" Shippo asked when he saw her move "I think there's something wrong"

With her eyes still closed, Naomi turned to her side and pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs as she buried her face in her knees, a low whine emitting from her as her ears flattened against her head.

"Nay, child" Kaede replied "in their teenage years, some fox demons are able to sense when danger is near, even in their sleep. I believe she has not grown out of it, yet"

"Danger?" One of the girls - Kagome - asked "what kind of danger?"

"Something that may threaten her life" the monk - Miroku - answered

A demon hunter, Sango, had seen that action once before, and the last time it happened, the danger threatening his life came almost soon after, which meant it was approaching fast. The half dog demon, Inuyasha, raised his head slightly when he caught a scent that didn't belong, the scent of an approaching demon,

"That's strange" Kagome said "I can sense jewel shards"

"Yeah" Inuyasha said "and something's coming. Fast"

The sound of a loud and evil roar suddenly filled the air, causing Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango and Miroku to spring into action,

"Shippo, stay here where it's safe!" Kagome shouted, grabbing her bow and arrows

"I should be telling you that" Inuyasha said, running out of the hut

A whimper emitted from Naomi, causing Shippo to look at her. Outside, a demon was approaching, one that had a blade of his own, Inuyasha unsheathing his Tessaiga, holding it at the ready when the demon approached the entrance, noticing the blade in his hand. But the demon was black, looking as if he had a skull on his face, his ears looked like fins with wings on his back, his arms and legs looked lanky, but his torso looked substantial compared to the rest of him.

"Why would a demon like that have a sword?" Miroku asked, voicing his thoughts

"Who cares?" Inuyasha asked

Inuyasha charged, jumping in the air and raising his sword, coming down with a yell as he attempted to strike the demon, who blocked his attack. At this, Inuyasha's eyes widened slightly in shock, not ever seeing a blade strong enough to block the power of Tessaiga. With a yell, the demon threw Inuyasha back, laughing menacingly,

"Where is she!?" He asked

"I don't know who you're talking about, but you made a bad choice coming here!" Inuyasha replied

"I can feel her" he said "I know she is near. I will kill everyone in this village if you do not tell me where she is!"

"Could he mean the woman in Lady Kaede's hut?" Kagome asked, looking at Sango

"It could be" she replied "which means we must protect her. She's still unconscious"

Just as she said that, the blade in the demons hand pulsed. Inside Kaede's hut, Shippo backed away from Naomi, watching as her body pulsed, and she could feel herself becoming stronger. Her eyes snapped open, ears perking up as her body pulsed again, slowly uncurling herself from her ball and weakly pushing herself up, her body shaking from the sudden use of her limbs,

"You're awake!" Shippo exclaimed happily, looking at her

". . . Fenikkusu" Naomi whispered, looking at the entrance to the hut, hearing the battle going on ". . . Fenikkusu"

"What?" The fox child asked in confusion

"Fenikkusu" she replied

Her breathing began to pick up as Naomi forced herself up on her feet, much to Shippo's protests, using the walls of the hut as support, not being able to do anything as she began to make her way to the entrance.

"You can't!" Shippo exclaimed "there's a demon out there!"

". . A demon" Naomi said ". . . with my blade"

An attack nearly missed her as she exited the hut, using the outer walls as support, but letting out a yelp as she was suddenly knocked back by an unknown force,

"So she is here" the demon growled

"The woman" Kagome shouted "we have to get her out of here!"

". . . Fenikkusu" Naomi whispered

"Are you okay!?" Shippo asked, alarmed as he ran over fo Naomi "we have to get out of here!"

"You don't understand" Naomi replied, slowly pushing herself up and looking at the child "the blade. I need the blade the demon carries. I need Fenikkusu. Please. I need that blade"

Shippo looked at her for a moment, determination filling him, giving her a small nod before running off. In the mean time, Naomi needed to get out of the crossfire, causing her to weakly move further into the village, having no choice but to drag herself on the floor, because her body was weak from lack of use.

"Kagome!" Shippo yelled, causing her to look at him "get the sword! She needs the sword!"

"Inuyasha!" Kagome shouted

"I heard!" Inuyasha shouted back

"Give her to me!" The demon ordered

"Inuyasha!" Kagome shouted "there are jewel shards in his chest!"

Naomi's breathing was heavy as she pulled herself further into the village, stopping for a moment to catch her breath, turning her head slightly to look at the demon that was after her. She saw that one of the human girl's in odd clothing distracted the demon, a half breed demon cutting his arm off, a small smile forming on her lips when the arm disintegrated, leaving the sword behind.

"Fenikkusu" Naomi said softly

Acting fast, Shippo grabbed the hilt of the blade and ran away from the battle, letting out a scared yell when the demon tried to attack him. Naomi's smile grew when she saw Shippo running in her direction, causing her to slowly push herself up to sit on her knees, gasping in fear when Shippo was thrown to the side by an attack from the demon, Naomi being thrown back as well. Anger began to fill her as she slid against the dirt, stopping when her back made contact with a wall, causing her to let out a small growl, her eyes snapping up to look at the demon,

"You shouldn't have hurt that child" Naomi said, her voice threateningly calm

With her breathing slightly heavy, Naomi firmly placed her hands on the ground, pushing herself up with shaking arms, forcing herself to her feet, ignoring the fact that her kimono was a little tighter than what it used to be. She looked at Shippo, feeling bad for the child and forcing her feet to move toward him, his eyes opening, seeing her approach, but he was too weak to because of the attack.

"I'll protect you" Naomi said softly
