After I came home, I told Tomura and Kurogiri about Eraser Head and the layout of the school- to my knowledge. They nodded and I left to do homework. I understand why students hate doing this work- it's the devil's spawn! It's tedious and I already know most of it! It's absolutely unnecessary considering I'm not even a student here, but because I don't want to stick out, I'm doing it anyways.

"Oh, screw this!" I groan, shoving the books off my desk and getting up. I stretch before heading downstairs to see if Kurogiri will give me apple juice.

As I absentmindedly walk down the hall, I bump into Tomura. "Oof-" I mumble.

"Rei! Just who I wanted to see." He smiles at me.

"Bro, do you need chapstick? I swear your lips are getting crustier each day." I say.

"Shut up, Rei! Follow me- I want to show you something." He motions for me to follow him.

He leads me out of the abandoned bar and to a nearby building. He leads me down a few flights of steps and through a rusty door.
We enter a room illuminated in the dim green light. The room is dingy, but the smell makes it even worse.
"Ewww...what the heck, Tomura?" I pinch the bridge of my nose with my fingers. "Did something die in here?"

"No, you brat. Look!" He points over to a tank full of green, glowing, bubbling liquid. I walk closer and my eyes widen.

"What are these?! They're like frankensteins!" I exclaim.

"They're Nomu." Tomura replies, smiling. "This one," he points to a disgusting bird creature with its brain exposed. "is the best. It's the one that will take down All Might."

"We're taking this mutant to UA?" I ask.

He nods. "We need to figure out when, though. That's why you're there."

"I don't know how I'm going to keep up my facade if we're fighting in front of my classmates." I mutter.

"Oh don't worry. You'll fight on our side and won't need to pretend once All Might is dead!" He laughs maniacally. "I hope an opening appears soon!"

"I think I'm going to puke if I stay in here any longer. Have fun with your children, Tomura!" I wave as I leave the building and head back to the abandoned bar.

"Kurogiri!" I call as I sit down on a barstool. "Can I have apple juice?"

"You didn't say the magic word." He mumbles.

"Please?" I add.

"Alright." I watch as he grabs the jug from the fridge. "How's UA?"

"Disgusting, but good. I made up some weird backstory for myself on the spot. It's not very different from my actual views on society, though." I reply.

"Hm..." he huffs doubtfully. "Please tell me you didn't blow your cover already?"

"I just said that this society is horrible and I want to become a hero to fix it." I say as I sip on the sweet juice.

"Not too wild. I thought you were going to say your parents died at the hands of some notorious villain like the hero killer, Stain or something and now you're on the hunt to seek justice." He laughs a bit.

"Ew." I mutter. "I only lied to one boy, though, so it's fine. He's not exactly important  anyways."

"Oh?" He queries. "A boy?"

"Ew...no, stop." I sputter. "I literally fought him and though he was a bit challenging, I beat him easily."

"You got into a fight?!" Kurogiri exclaims.

"Y-Yeah, but he challenged me first!" -which is a lie. "And nobody else was around!"

He makes a "tsk" noise and says, "Be more careful, Rei. Your task requires you to be cautious and not let anybody suspect a thing about you."

I nod as I finish my juice. "I know, I know."

"Make sure to put your cup in the sink." He says.

"You're closer to the sink, though." I groan.

"Rei-" I tap his hand and tap the cup. They attach to each other and Kurogiri huffs irritatedly. He makes his way over to the sink with the cup on his hand. I release my quirk and the cup drops into the sink.

"Thank you, Kurogiri!" I hum as I walk to the living room downstairs next to the bedrooms.
I sit down at a table with a computer on it. It was one of the only electronics in this household (other than the shared phone and my cell phone) because we didn't want to be tracked. This computer is also heavily guarded by many passwords and several, heavy firewalls. I log on and decide to do a bit of research on UA's security system.
'People without student or staff IDs will trigger the alarms and the security system will activate.' I read on the page: 'Family concerns: Is my child safe at UA?'.
'If there is a distraction, maybe we could sneak past the alarms.' I think.

——-

'Bingo.' I think when I see a bunch of news reporters and cameras at the front entrance. I quickly call the shared phone at home and Kurogiri picks up.

"The media is here. They're trying desperately to get info about All Might as a teacher. They're all jumbled up at the front entrance." I say.

"I see. I'll tell Tomura." He then hangs up.

"Out of the way, shit-face." A familiar, aggravating voice growls.

"Go around me, you idiot." I reply as I keep walking forward. A reporter runs up to me as I near the entrance.

"Miss, how does it feel to have All Might as a teacher?" She asks.

I shift uncomfortably. "Well, I-"

"Out of the way!" Bakugou barks as he grabs my wrist and pulls me through the crowd of reporters and cameramen.
My heart skips a beat at the sudden contact. His grip wasn't as harsh as I had expected either. 'Wait, stop reacting like this! This is not part of the mission!' I mentally scold myself .

"Thanks, porcupine." I flash him a smile once we fought our way out of the crowd.

"What the fuck did you call me?!" He yells.

I laugh at him, but stop in shock. 'Holy crap! Did I just laugh genuinely? That felt...so good!' I stand there, in shock at what just happened.

He stares at me. "You okay? Fucking weirdo."

I shake my head as if to shake off the shock. "Yeah, I'm fine." I reply. "It just felt good to laugh for once..." I add quietly.

He stares at me again. "What? Speak the fuck up! I don't understand mumble."

'Oh shit! Did I say that out loud?!' I think. "Nothing! It's fine, Bakugou."

"Whatever you say, dipshit." He grumbles before walking ahead of me.

"Hey, Rei!" I hear a familiar voice shout in the distance.

I turn around and spot an eccentric blond boy running towards me. "Hey, Kaminari." I say.

"Jeez, the media is crazy!" Kaminari exclaims.

"Yeah, good thing Bakugou helped me out." I smile.

"Wait, the angry boy helped you?!" He exclaims. "...I guess he has a heart after all..."

"I HEARD YOU!" Bakugou exclaims as he turns around to face us a few feet behind him.

"I doubt he helped you." He chuckles. "Unless-" he gasps. "Maybe? Perhaps? Possibly? You two like each other?!"

I feel my face burst into blush. "No!" I could never, Kaminari!"

He laughs. "Your face is amazing!" He exclaims. I hit him in the shoulder. "Owww!" He winces in pain. "That was too harsh."

I puff out my cheeks and speed up my pace, passing both boys and making my way towards my classroom all the while ignoring Kaminari's calls for me to come back. The only thing I can think of is how I feel about that hot-headed jerk. My conclusion: he sucks and I hate that, but I can't bring myself to hate him.
