"Kiss!"
I peel my eyes open and realize I'm already in Recovery Girl's office. I get up from the bed I'm laying on and look around.
"It was juts a little iron deficiency." She gives me a bottle of supplements. "Take one now." I nod as I open the bottle and pop a pill into my mouth. I swallow without the help if water. I've done it enough during training and fights to almost have it as a skill.
"How long was I out?" I ask the sweet old lady.
"The next match is about to start." She states.
"Rei!" A knock on the door sounds before opening to reveal Shoto and Kaminari.
"Are you okay?""Yeah, I'm fine." I reply. "What were you two doing earlier?" I ask.
"Setting up a date between you and Bakugou." Kaminari smirks.
"We were advising him to make a move before you're already gone." Shoto states. "If It were me, I would've already made a move."
I blush. "Thanks, I guess."
"I mean it's pretty evident you like him and he should take you before it's too late." Kaminari says.
"Wait, what do you mean, 'pretty evident'?!" I exclaim.
"I'm sure the entire class knows you have a crush on him." Kaminari replies.
I blush out of embarrassment. "Oh God..."
"Anyways, a perfect lady has her eyes on him, so he should probably take her." Kaminari states.
"A-Anyways," I start, trying to change the subject. "Who's up now?"
"Bakugou and Uraraka." Shoto responds.
"What?! I need to see!" I hop out of bed as quickly as possible.
"Take it easy." Recovery Girl states. "You can go watch the rest of the matches, but be careful."
I nod. "Thank you!" I then grab my friends by the arm and drag them with me as I run up to the seating area.
As I sit down, a huge explosion goes off in front of my face. "Can't he go easy on my baby?!" I exclaim. I see Ochako standing up as debris flies around her. I then spot a bunch of floating rocks and chunks of concrete floating above Katsuki. I smirk proudly. 'Looks like me almost being killed by her during training a few days ago helped her somewhat.'
"Release!" She shouts and the rocks come raining down. Katsuki quickly lets out a huge explosion aimed upwards, blasting into the sky and out of the stadium.
Ochako doubles over and pauses. Katsuki then sends another explosion at her. When the smoke clears, she's on the ground, struggling to advance, but clearly trying her best.
She then collapses in defeat."Match over!" Midnight announces.
"Ochako!" I exclaim as the nurse robots come to bring her to Recovery Girl.
"We have to go check on her later." Midoriya says and I nod in agreement.
Katsuki walks into the seating area and slides into the seat next to me.
"She'll be fine." He mutters.I huff. "Easy for you to say."
"Tch, I didn't go that far." He replies with a scowl.
"What about you? Are you okay?" I ask.
He raises an eyebrow. "Yeah, whatever." He mumbles.
We watched the rest of the matches in silence. Shoto was doing really well and I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to place first. Katsuki was oddly quiet as well- until the next round; the quarterfinals started. Midoriya and Shoto were up first. The fight was very intense and Shoto ended up using his left side. 'I wonder what Midoriya said.' They were shouting at each other, there was ice flying everywhere, blasts of wind, and they almost destroyed the entire stadium at the end!
I shot up in my seat as soon as the match ended. 'I have to go see if they're okay!'"Where do you think you're going?" Katsuki grabs my wrist.
"I'm going to go check on them." I reply, yanking my wrist out of his hold.
"Your match is next." He states. "You can check on them later."
"Oh." I look up at the board and see I'm going against Mina.
"Yo, Rei!" The pink girl hops towards me. "Don't go easy on me, 'Kay?" She shouts as she smiles brightly.
I nod. "Alright." I can't help but return her contagious smile. "Let's head down to the ice airing rooms."
She nods and excitedly walks out of the seating area and I follow suit.
"So, have you or Bakugou confessed yet?" Mina asks and my cheeks heat up.
"W-What?! Of course not! I don't even think he likes me!" I stutter.
She deadpans at me. "Do you at least have a single brain cell in there?" She points at my head.
"I just- oomf!" As we turn the corner, I bump into someone. "Sorry." I apologize. I look up and see a student I've never seen before.
"You better be sorry." She looks at me in disgust. Her eyes were a piercing blue and her long black hair framed her pretty face.
"Excuse me?" I snap. I realize she's wearing our school's uniform, but I haven't seen her partake in the Sports Festival.
"You heard me, ugly." She says.
I feel my blood begin to boil. 'This bitch...' "Are you new? I can show you the exit if you like." I say through gritted teeth.
"Hey, let's be nice. Maybe we should just start over." Mina nervously says. "I'm Mina Ashi-"
"Did I ask, bubblegum?" The girl hisses at Mina.
"Listen, this is a school for heroes, not villains. So if you're going to act like this, maybe you should leave." I hiss. 'You can make fun of me, but not my friends.' I think angrily.
The black-haired girl lets out a chuckle. "That's big talk coming from someone like you!" She says between laughs. "If villains shouldn't be here, what are you doing here?"
