I gulp. "Okay." I reply and he stands up.
"Not here. There are others on the roof." He says. He grabs my arm and leads me to an empty classroom.
"B-But, my lunch..." I groan.
"Whatever." He snaps as he shuts the door behind us.
"Alright, what did you want to talk about?" I ask as I sit down at an empty desk.
"Was what that handy-man said true? Are you really Rainy-chan?" He asks.
"...Y-yeah..." I reply softly.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" He angrily says.
"At first I didn't know you were Katsu-chan, either. I found out through the school's database a few days before USJ. I didn't tell you because what was the point if I was just going to leave again?" I explain. "I didn't want you to lose me twice. I'm sorry..."
"What are you apologizing for, idiot?"
"I feel like such an asshole. A lying asshole." I reply. "Don't you feel betrayed? Don't you feel bad knowing I lied to you?"
"How many times do I have to repeat myself? You just did what you had to do. You're still the same girl I met on the first day of school. Maybe a little better even, but you being Rainy-chan has nothing to do with it." He states. "Don't make me repeat myself again, got it?"
I nod my head.
"Now, I think I know what happened with your quirk during training." He says. "It might be like an emergency response system. It happened at USJ when you were in danger and it happened today when you were in danger as well." He states. "Since it's pushing things away form you and you and the object are both glowing the same colour, it might be a repel reaction. When there's two north poles, they repel each other away."
"That makes sense. Wow? You're really smart, Katsuki." I remark.
The tips of his ears go red. "Of course I'm smart! I'm a fucking genius!" He exclaims. "All you need to do is learn to control when to sue your quirk. Also, if there's repel, there's probably attract, too."
"Okay." I reply. "I'll try right now." You try and focus on an emergency situation happening.
"It's not like you'll ever see them again!" He hisses.
Tears roll down my cheeks as I sob. "I want mommy and Katsu-kun!"
"Shut up, brat! You'll just tire yourself out with all the crying! You need to save your energy for the tests today!" He shouts.
I cry more violently and he starts to become more angry. He grabs my arm. "We're starting now and today, you won't be getting any pain killers!" He puts me down in a chair and straps many legs and body to it.
"Mommy!" I wail.
Suddenly, I feel a weird pulse of energy and it snaps me out of my trance. Everything around me glows blue and so do I. Even Katsuki glows blue and crashes into the wall, desks and chairs flying into the wall next to him.
"Ahh, Sorry! I'll try to attract?" I say more of a question than a statement. Everything starts to glow red and I get pulled right into Katsuki. "S-Sorry!" I exclaim, my head buried in his chest. If anyone saw, they'd get the wrong idea. I blush like crazy and the red glow is nothing compared to my blushing.
"Release!" I say, but my quirk doesn't release. I start to panic.
"Calm down." He says. "Your quirk is thinking this is an emergency situation because your heart is beating like crazy." He states.
'He can feel my heartbeat?! Well I am pressed against him like a sandwich right now.' I think.
"Deep breaths." He says soothingly (which I didn't even think he could do).
I inhale a big breath of air and then exhale. My heartbeat slows down and everything that was stuck to the wall, drops down and the glow fades. I land on my back and Katsuki lands on top of me. He catches himself with his arms so he doesn't crush me under his weight.
'Well this is awkward.' I think as I stare into his crimson eyes.He blushes and gets up. I also blush. "Well, you did it..." he states.
"Yeah..." we don't look each other in the eyes and I stare at my shoes. "So, uh...sorry about that." I nervously say.
"Tch, whatever..." he mutters. The bell rings and cuts our awkward conversation short.
"We should head back to class." I say. He nods and leaves classroom as I follow him. As we enter, Midoriya stops me by the door.
"Rei, do you know what happened to Todoroki?" He asks worriedly.
I furrow my brows. "No, what's wrong with him?"
"I'm not sure. He seems a bit upset." Midoriya replies. I look over at the bi-haired boy sitting at his desk quietly. His head was hung low and he seemed a bit downcast.
"I'm going to go talk to him." I say as I make my way towards Shoto. "Shoto?" I lean on his desk. "What's wrong?"
He doesn't reply. Instead, he gets up and leaves the classroom. "Shoto!" I call after him.
The others turn to stare at the door that Todoroki had just left through. "What happened?" Mina asks.
I shrug in response before going after him. "Shoto, wait! Class is going to start soon, where are you going?" I run to catch up to the boy down the hall.
I grab his arm and prevent him from walking away. "What's wrong?!" I demand.
He doesn't look at me. "Nothing." He mumbles.
"Like I'm going to believe that." I say. "Tell me."
"I can't." He mutters.
"I see." I respond. "If it's something personal, you don't have to tell me what it is, but you can't just avoid everyone! We're all worried about you!"
"Let go." He tries to pull his wrist out of my grip.
"No." I stubbornly say. "Not until you come back to class with me."
He turns around and glares at me. I gasp and am taken aback by his cold eyes. They stare into mine and I feel like freezing up on the spot. He yanks his wrist out of my hand before turning around and walking back to class without me.
'What just happened?' I confusedly think. I frown and watch at his figure as he walks away.
