She smiles at me warmly just like the other day when she apologized, before going limp in my arms, blood pooling out of her back and to the floor.
——-My vision starts to blur with tears as I lay Kaniko down gently on the floor. I clench my fists, determines not to let my tears fall down.
"Oh, boohoo! Your little friend is dead." Tomura jeers. "You wouldn't have to go through this pain if you weren't on their side anyways. I guess you've made the wrong decision after all, huh?"
I grit my teeth and stand. My blood boils in my veins. I look Tomura right in the eyes and if looks could kill, he'd be long gone. "Wrong decision? Oh, please! Don't make me laugh." I snarl.
He chuckles. "Why, what are you going to do about it?"
"I don't know if you forgot, but I've still been trained the same way by the same man. I've got the same set of skills just honed to a higher degree. I'm still the same Rei that can take you down any day, just better." I say challengingly, eyes livid with anger.
"I ink you're forgetting a very crucial detail," Tomura states. "You don't have a quirk anymore."
I smirk darkly. "I have a quirk." I say. "And you know it."
His smile falters. "You're just too smart." He mutters. "You still can't possibly hope to beat me with that quirk, though."
"Of course not!" My smirk grows deeper and I lift my chin, looking down on Tomura. "I don't need a quirk to beat you."
"Rei, don't!" Ryuusuke warns.
"You should listen to the other traitor. He seems to know you can't take me on." Tomura says.
"I don't think you understand." Ryuusuke interrupts. "I wasn't worried about Rei, I was worried about the poor girl's body. We need to get her away as soon as possible."
"Don't worry." A voice replies. We look behind us and see Kurogiri standing near the stairs. He opens up a swirling, purple portal. It was envelopes Kaniko's limp body and disappears.
"Where'd that you?!" I exclaim.
"Front of the school." Kurogiri responds while pointing out the window. "Right in front of the ambulance."
I feel slightly relieved. Unlike Tomura, Kurogiri has always been kinder."Should have just thrown her into some random place." Tomura mumbles.
I grit my teeth. "You're really getting on my nerves."
"Do something about it then." He taunts while walking towards me.
"Don't get any closer." Katsuki growls lowly.
"Oh, you're the boyfriend?" Tomura chuckles.
"Hell yeah I am, so get the fuck back." He snarls, his palm starting to crackle.
"And if I don't?"
"I'm blow you up so bad they'll be looking for your pieces for months!"
Suddenly, another portal opens up. "Unfortunately, that won't be happening." I try to run towards Katsuki so I'm not teleported alone, but I'm not fast enough. The portal surrounds me and takes me away.
