Daichi looked across the gym, expecting to find his boyfriend, Sugawara. But he was no where to be seen. If he wasn't worried before, he is now.
Suga had been acting weird all week. But today, he flat out ignored him. Sure, there was other weird things he'd do, but he never expected Suga to flat out ignore him. He'd try to ask him what's wrong, but Suga brushed it off as if it was nothing. Daichi knew better.
That's why today at practice, Daichi was always checking up on Suga. The whole team knew something was up too. It bothered them to know something was off between the two.
"Hey," Daichi called to get everyone's attention. "Did anyone see where Suga went?" Most of them replied with a 'no'. But,
"He just left," The manager, Kiyoko, replied.
"Okay I'm gonna go che-"
"Just go make sure he's okay, seesh," Tsukishima replied. All heads turned towards Karasuno's blonde middle blocker. "What? We're all thinking the same thing, so I just said it."
Without anymore talking, Daichi ran out of the gym. "Suga!" The captain looked around, but couldn't see his silver haired boyfriend anywhere. He quickly ran to the club room, hoping Suga hadn't gone home. It felt like forever, but Daichi made it there in a record time. Daichi opened the door and called out Suga's name again, but his name fell short from his lips as he saw his boyfriend sitting on the clubroom floor crying. He quickly shut the door behind him and went to sit in front of him. He placed his arms on Suga's shoulders and rubbed them in a comforting motion.
"Hey, baby. What's wrong?" Suga only started to cry harder. This startled Daichi. Did he do something wrong?
"You've been acting funny all week and every time I ask if somethings wrong, you just ignore the question. Somethings obviously bothering you. I can't help you if you won't talk to me," Daichi was worried to no end and was going to figure what was bothering his boyfriend so much.
"It's really," Suga hiccuped. "Nothing. It's silly actually."
"It's not nothing and if it's so silly you can tell me," Daichi laughed. "So you can tell, I won't judge you, or be mad at you for anything."
Suga took a few deep breaths so he could talk properly. "It's just that, this past month I feel like we've been more like friends than boyfriends."
Out of everything Suga could've said, Daichi did not expect this. He had tried everything to be the ideal boyfriend. I guess he has been more focused on other things, but Daichi made sure to still take Suga on dates and give him attention. Has it really gotten so bad to the point he made Suga cry.
Daichi feel as if someone knocked the air right out of him. He was incredibly guilty. They had been dating for 8 months now.
"Dai, when was the last time we even kissed?" Suga laughed sadly. Daichi thought about it. They went on a date last week, didn't they kiss then? The captain thought about it some more, but realized... they never did. He couldn't remember the last time...
"Oh, my god. I'm such an awful boyfriend," The brunette felt tears gather up in his eyes. He didn't want this to end, but it seemed like this was where the conversation was heading. Before he knew it, Daichi was crying to.
Daichi dropped his head into Suga's lap and hugged his arms around his waist. "I'm so sorry, baby. Your so right. I can't even think of the last time we kissed. I'm that awful at this. I totally understand if you want to break up with me."
Suga quickly pushed his head off his lap. "Woah, I never said I wanted to break up. That's the exact reason I was sad. I thought you were going to break up with me." He paused to laugh a little. "I just want to... oh uhhh... what's the word I wanna use here..." He took a few seconds to think about it. "Oh! I just wanna fix this."
Daichi could tell he did that to try and make him feel better, but it just made him feel shitty-er. He should of done something.
Suga watched as Daichi's emotions changed from bad to worse. 'That didn't help.' They both realized their emotions had completely changed at this point. Daichi finally got ahold of himself and went to say something, but Suga stopped him.
Suga had shut him up by kissing him. Daichi's eyes were wide open in shock. Out of everything happening, he did not expect this right now.
He could feel Suga shaking, indicating how nervous he was. Daichi quickly kissed back. After a few seconds they parted, but the looks in their eyes said otherwise.
Daichi quickly grabbed Suga's hips and pulled him toward him so he was straddling Daichi. Daichi quickly reconnected their lips. The kiss was exactly what it needed to be. It was slow and passionate. Daichi slowly trailed kisses down Suga's jaw and made his way down to his neck.
"Mmm... stop you're going to leave a hickey," Suga moaned, but had no intention of actually stopping. "You do know we're going to have to talk more about this?" The captain just hummed, knowing all too well that they're going to probably stay up all night crying some more while talking. But right now, they just wanted to be close.
