"Would you please just put the damn game down, and rest!" Kuroo practically growled out.
Kenma rolled over to his other side, psp in hand. He may have a fever, but this game was way more important. It would go away eventually.
"Kenma!" Kuroo was losing his patience. Kenma's mom was joking when she said it, but behind her words, Kuroo knew she meant it.
"Of course you can date Kenma. As long as you're both happy," She smiled warmly at Kuroo. "But, you have to take care of him. Sometimes he forgets to and gets sick. Watch over him."
That's what she said to him. He will never forget the look in her eye. It still haunts him till this day.
Kuroo reached over and snatched the gaming console from Kenma's hands. Kenma started to yell at Kuroo, but his face scrunched up in pain. Kuroo sighed.
"Wait here, I'll go get you some medicine and a cold washcloth." He quickly rushed out of the room to grab what he needed. When he got back to their room, he smiled as he saw Kenma had bunched himself up in the covers of their bed.
"Come out, kitten. I've got your medicine," He set down the glass of water, washcloth, and medicine to help Kenma sit up. "Here." He handed Kenma the water and medicine now that he was sitting up.
Kenma quickly took the medicine and immediately laid back down. Kuroo placed the cold washcloth on the gamers forehead.
"Does that feel better?" He asked. Kenma let out a little hum, letting Kuroo know that it did in fact make him feel better.
Kuroo gently brushed Kenma's hair out of his face before gently caressing his cheek. He gave Kenma a small smile before he went to head out of the bedroom.
Before he could leave, he heard Kenma mumble something. "What'd you say?" He turned around to face Kenma.
Kenma pressed his lips into a thin line. He didn't want to say it again. The former setter gave Kuroo a look, hoping Kuroo would understand what he wanted. Kuroo walked closer to Kenma.
"Use your words, kitten."
Kenma huffed and turned over on his side, already giving up on it. Kuroo laughed.
"Oh c'mon. Don't be like that." Kuroo leaned over and fixed the washcloth that had fallen off Kenma's head.
Kenma only buried himself further into the covers. Kuroo started to pull them back and hop in bed with him.
"Is this what you wanted?" He asked as he settled into the bed. He opened up his arms, letting Kenma know what he wanted.
Kenma's face flushed, but he blamed it on his fever. Though that wasn't the reason. Kenma settled himself on top of Kuroo's chest, burying his head into his boyfriend's neck. The washcloth had fallen off his forehead again.
"What's the point of it if you're not going to use it?" Kuroo picked up the washcloth and lifted up Kenma's head. He placed it back onto his forehead, the washcloth now resting on his neck.
Kuroo started to rub Kenma's back, wanting to help him fall asleep faster. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, he was positive Kenma was asleep.
A soft smile made its way to his face. He was glad Kenma put his game down and started resting. Of course it was 5 in the afternoon, and Kuroo would have to make him food when he woke up, but he didn't know when that would be.
Hours went by, yet Kuroo never fell asleep. As creepy as it may sound, he's just been staring at Kenma this whole time. He wished Kenma wasn't feeling bad. Luckily, it doesn't happen as often as it used to. But of course any boyfriend would be sad when their partner isn't feeling well.
It was around 10 when Kenma started to stir in his sleep. Kuroo debated if he should let him sleep a little more or wake him up so he could eat something. Going with the latter, he shook Kenma lightly.
"Kitten, get up. You need to eat something. Then you can go back to bed." Kenma groaned and snuggled closer to Kuroo.
"Not hungry."
Kuroo frowned. "Well that sucks because I'll force feed you if I have to. You just need to eat a little."
Kuroo waited a few minutes, but it was obvious Kenma wasn't getting up. Kuroo wrapped his arms tightly around Kenma's body before getting up, now holding Kenma like he was a toddler. This movement had caused Kenma to wake up.
"What are you doing?" Kenma asked.
"I'm going to make you food. Even if you're not hungry I want you to at least eat a little." Kuroo carried Kenma out to the living room and gently set him down on the couch. "Are you feeling better now?" He placed his hand on Kenma's forehead. "You're still warm."
Kenma reached up and tried to smooth out Kuroo's forehead. "If you keep frowning like that you're gonna get wrinkles."
Kuroo offered him a smile. "I know. I just want you to feel better, that's all."
"I know." Kenma winced at the pounding in his forehead.
"I'll go get the washcloth. And some more medicine." Kuroo quickly came back with both items, and a glass of water.
Kenma quickly took the medicine and placed the washcloth on his forehead.
"I'll just make something easy. Maybe some rice." Kuroo looked down at his boyfriend. "How does that sound?" Kenma nodded.
Kuroo leaned down and placed a quick kiss on Kenma's lips. Kenma fussed at this.
"I don't wanna get you sick."
"I don't care." He replied before stealing one more kiss.
"Ok well when you're sick I'm not gonna give you any sympathy."
