"Wahhhh!" Hinata whined. "I forgot to set my alarm last night, I was in such a rush to get here."

"Dumbass," Kageyama huffed.

They had raced to the club room again this morning. Kageyama ended winning, leaving a bitter Hinata.

"I know," he laughed.

The two walked into the club room and were greeted by Sugawara and Daichi.

"Did you two bring umbrellas? It's supposed to rain today," Suga said.

"I did," Kageyama held up his umbrella. Hinata looked down. He had noticed Kageyama's umbrella while racing, so he assumed it was going to rain.

"I forgot," Hinata said nervously. "I forgot to set my alarm so I was in a rush."

Suga walked over and ruffled Hinata's hair. "That's okay. Just make sure you don't catch a cold."

"That's right," Daichi chimed in. "We don't want anyone catching a cold."

Hinata huffed. He felt incredibly stupid. But he wasn't going to let this bother him too much. There's many other things out there that could've been worse. Plus, it might not even rain today.

Hinata was definitely proved wrong during homeroom. Dark, grey clouds hovered in the sky, indicating it was in fact, going to rain today. The ginger was already having a bad day. He was struggling to keep up in class and if he wanted to be able to go to the training camp that was coming up, he would have to pass his exams... and not catch a cold today.

By time afternoon practice had rolled around, it was down pouring and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. Hinata was now beyond stressed. It was getting really hard to ignore that today was probably the worst day to wake up late. Everyone else had brought an umbrella, even coach.

He didn't know why this bothering him so much. It's just a little water, right? It's not like it was going to kill him.

Everyone noticed something was off about the middle blocker. He wasn't talking as much and his movements were slowed and off. His spikes were weak and sluggish.

"Oi, dumbass. Focus," Kageyama yelled at him. Hinata looked over at him and Kageyama visibly gulped when he saw how pale he looked. "Are you alright? You don't look very well."

The team was used to their bickering, but all attention was now on them when they heard Kageyama show concern.

"Yeah Hinata, you're not looking well. Are you sure your fine?" Tanaka asked.

Suga walked over to look at Hinata, but Hinata quickly backed away.

"I'm okay, I swear. I'm sorry. I promise I'll do better," Hinata bowed.

The team looked around at each other knowing fully well he wasn't okay. But, there was no stopping him.

"Okay, but please take it easy," Suga said in a calming motherly tone. Suga hadn't missed how flushed his checks looked.

Practice had continued normally and Hinata had gotten a little bit better, but everyone could see how hard he was trying. His breathing was heavy and, if possible, he looked even paler than before.

"Okay Hinata that's eno-" Suga had started, but Hinata collapsed before Suga couldn't even finish his sentence.

Luckily, Kageyama had been standing next to him and caught him before he hit the floor. Coach Ukai had run over and put his hand over Hinata's forehead.

"My god, he burning up." Ukai commented. The whole team had made a circle around them and everyone watched as the redhead was breathing heavily.

"Oi, wake up," Kageyama had lightly shaken the boy in his arms, but he got no response.

"Hey, Kageyama," Suga rested a hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you take him home, if that's alright with you." The team knew they walked home together, so it only made sense.

"Okay," Suga and Daichi helped put Hinata on Kageyama's back. Kageyama went to the club room to grab his umbrella. He'd have to come back for Hinata's bike so he'll just get their stuff then.

The walk home was pretty easy, but difficult nonetheless. He had to hold an umbrella over both of them and make sure he didn't drop the small middle blocker. Kageyama was having a hard time focusing on anything. The only thing he could focus on was Hinata's light breaths on his neck.

Kageyama will admit on a few occasions he has thought about the small boy in a not very 'friendly' way. He admits he as a small crush, but it's not like Hinata liked him, or boys even for that matter.

By the time he'd gotten to Hinata's house, he remember Hinata telling him that they keep a spare key hidden under a fake plant. Kageyama unlocked the door and took off his and Hinata's shoes. Kageyama had been over before so he knew where his bedroom was. He set the boy down and went to find a cold washcloth to set on his forehead. After doing that and tucking him in, Kageyama planned on going back to get his stuff and Hinata's stuff and bike.

He went to tell his parents what happened, but found a note explaining they took Natsu to some art contest and won't be back till Monday. Kageyama quickly wrote another note case Hinata woke up.

Kageyama ran all the way back to the school and got their stuff. He managed to get stopped by Suga. The setter explained what happened and that he was just back to get their stuff. The older setter nodded.

Kageyama had rode Hinata's bike back to his house. He walked back using the spare key he had brought with him. Of course he wouldn't leave a sick boy in an unlocked home alone.

Walking into Hinata's room, he noticed that Hinata was missing from his spot on the bed. He quickly figured he was in the shower because he could hear the water running. Kageyama decided to wait on Hinata's bed. He was not leaving until he knew he was okay.

About 10 minutes later, Hinata walked out in a plain dark blue t-shirt that was about 5 times to big for him and a towel around his neck. Kageyama blushed but tried to ignore what the redhead was wearing.

"You're back," Hinata said, surprised.

Kageyama nodded. "Yeah, I got back awhile ago."

"Oh, sorry for making you wait."

"S'okay. How are you feeling?"

Hinata blushed. "Better, but I'm really embarrassed about what happened earlier."

"You should be," Kageyama said a little to harsh. "If you didn't feel well then you should've just said something."

"Sorry," Hinata put his head down. Kageyama stood up and walked over to him. He picked up the towel that was around his shoulders and put it over the top of his head. He started moving it back and forth and eventually put his hands on the towel to dry his hair.

"W-what are you doing?" Hinata stuttered. He had a blush covering his face.

"You're just gonna become more sick if you don't dry off."

This went on for a few more minutes until Kageyama decided his hair was dry enough. Together, they got Hinata medicine and put him back to bed.

"So, you're gonna be okay? You saw your parents note right?" Kageyama wanted to make sure he wasn't going to collapse again.

"Umm yeah. I think I should be fine. Thank you for doing all this."

"It's not a problem, really."

Without thinking, Kageyama placed a kiss on Hinata's forehead and immediately went to leave.

"Alrighty then, good-bye. Feel better."

Before he even made it a foot, Hinata's hand shot out and grabbed Kageyama's wrist. Kageyama turned around and Hinata had tears in his eyes.

"Please don't go."

"Tch, dumbass. If you didn't want me to leave you should've said something sooner."
