Athena's POV
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
My alarm started going off. Ugh, it's 6:00am Wednesday morning. The first day of my senior year. I am so not ready for this, but I am ready for this year to be over. I'm ready to be free.
Time to get up and start the day. I slowly pulled back the covers and got out of bed walking to my closet to choose what I am going to wear today. I picked out a pair of ripped medium blue wash skinny jeans, and a white flowy tank top. Luckily I took a shower last night so I don't have to do any of that.
I made my way to the bathroom and put on some simple makeup consisting of foundation, concealer, powder, eyeliner on top and mascara. I opted for chapstick instead of lipstick. I then pulled my hair into two dutch braids. I made my way back into my room and put on my white converse low tops. I grabbed my brown leather jacket, my backpack and my phone before making my way quietly out of my room. I made it outside and safely and began my walk to school.
"Athena!" I heard a small feminine voice shout behind me. I whirled around and saw Deliah running towards me.
"Good morning." I said to her as she reached me.
"Hey! Eli wanted me to run and catch you to see if we could give you a ride." She said catching her breath.
"Oh, I don't know I don't want to be a bother." I responded starting to walk again.
"Don't be silly, Athena. I think it'd bother him even more by not accepting his offer." She chuckled.
"Are you sure?" I asked skeptically.
"Of course!" She grabbed my arm and we walked the short distance back to her house. Elliot was standing outside leaning against what I assume is his car.
"Good morning beautiful." he said with a smirk. I instantly blushed. I have never really received much attention from guys before, so this is all new to me.
"Uh, hi." I said shyly.
"You can sit in the front seat, D wouldn't make you climb into the back." He said opening the passenger door.
"Yeah! I don't mind sitting in the back." Deliah climbed into the seat behind me. I just nodded my head and buckled my seat belt. Elliot ran around to hop into the driver's seat. He buckled up and and turned the key making the engine roar to life. We backed out of the driveway and headed towards the middle school to drop off Deliah.
"Are you excited for your first day of 7th grade D?" Elliot asked after we rode in silence for awhile.
"Yeah! I can't wait! I get to be in student council this year. I get to help plan the dances and stuff it's really cool."
"Nice! Just remember not to get in trouble or anything okay?"
"You mean like how you stay out of trouble?" she chuckled at her own joke. I saw Elliot crack a small smile at his sister poking fun of him
"That's my point D. You have to be better than me." He told her. I noticed a sad look pass across his face for just a second before he covered it up.
"Yeah yeah, enough of the Eli. Are you excited for your senior year Athena?" She directed her question to me.
"Yeah, I can't wait for the year to be over. I can't wait to graduate." I told her with a small smile on my face as I thought about the freedom that my graduating would bring.
"Me too girlie." Elliot spoke up. A minute later we arrived at Deliah's school and she hopped out after saying goodbye to each of us. "And then there were two."
