Also what do we think of the new covers? Just curious haha.
Eli's POV
I don't want to open my eyes. I don't want her to know I'm awake, because I don't want her to stop what she's doing.
"You're just the cutest little thing ever." She whispered and she got a squeak in response. I can hear the overly loud purring coming from the tiny creature. "Momma loves you." She giggled. I felt movement on the bed as she played with the kitten. "He loves you too, he just doesn't want you to know. He's too manly to admit to loving something so cute."
"Hey I tell you I love you all the time." I complained and she giggled again.
"I know, I was just trying to get a response out of you. I knew you were awake." I finally opened my eyes to see Athena right beside me with Venus slowly falling asleep on her chest.
I rolled over and laid my arm over her stomach making sure not to disturb the kitten. "What time is it?" I asked her.
"Three thirty. We have to get up in a few minutes to get ready to go." She told me and I nodded before nuzzling a little further into her.
"Savannah said she and Mark would be here at four to stay while we're gone." I informed her. How we were able to convince them to be up at the ungodly hour I will never know. Maybe it was the fact that they would have our house alone to themselves for three nights.
"I put condoms in the side table in the guest room. I will also make sure to lock our room so they can't sully our bed." She joked.
We were headed to LA today for Athena's competition. "Are you gonna miss the baby?" I asked and she nodded with a cute little pout. "Can't we bring her?" She asked in a small voice.
"She wouldn't be happy away from home my love, I wish we could bring her too, but what would she do while we were out of the hotel?" I asked hating to disappoint her.
"I guess that's true." She said with a sad smile. "I'm just gonna miss her."
"I know baby girl." I kissed the top of her head.
"We have to get up now." She set the kitten gently on the bed before gracefully rolling off.
I nodded and followed suit. We quickly got ready, our bags were already packed so we didn't have to worry about that. We just threw on some comfortable clothes for the flight. It didn't take but a few minutes for us to be ready. When we were each dressed we grabbed Venus and carried her out to the living room where our stuff was waiting for the trip. I made sure to lock our room just in case.
Our room. That was new. I have always referred to it as Athena's room, but ever since the incident Athena has insisted I move all my stuff into the room with her. Surprisingly she wasn't too bothered about the fact that Kyle was killed in there, thank god. I think, honestly she was just tired of him taking things from her. Either way, she seems to be just as happy as I am about us officially sharing a room.
We heard a knock on the door just a few moments after we entered the living room. I got up and opened it revealing an exhausted looking Mark and an equally tired Savannah. "Good morning guys." I said with a gentle smile as I opened the door farther for them to come in.
"Too early." Savannah said putting her flat palm in my face as if telling me to stop talking. I laughed and we walked to the living room.
"Hey guys, thank you so much for staying here while we're gone." Athena said with a big beautiful smile.
