Athena's POV

"...Remember everyone today is the last day to purchase tickets for the Homecoming dance tomorrow. We hope to see everyone tonight at the game sporting our school colors and cheering on our boys as they go up against our rival school! ..." I ignored the rest of the announcements like I normally do. I looked down and smiled at Eli's jersey that he practically forced me to wear.

He had said something about "You agreed to this when you said yes!" I honestly didn't mind. He didn't give me a chance to accept, when I would have right away. I love that he wants to show me off as his girlfriend.

Girlfriend. I am Eli's girlfriend. The thought still brings a huge smile to my face, and I'm pretty sure it makes me blush too, as I can feel my cheeks heat up.

This morning I made Eli a nice breakfast so he'd have energy for his game tonight. I also had Mark help sneak a little treat into his locker. Today is his day to be spoiled, and I plan on doing just that.

As I walked into the cafeteria during lunch I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist. I smiled instantly, because the feeling in my stomach and chest told me it was Eli. My boyfriend.

"Hey baby girl."

"Hi handsome. How have your classes been so far?" I asked after turning around and kissing him gently on the cheek.

"Not so bad, I've been having a difficult time focusing though. I can't seem to keep my beautiful girlfriend off my mind." He smiled cheekily.

"Hmm. Sorry to be such a distraction." I giggled. "Have you been to your locker yet?" I asked trying not to give anything away.

"Yeah. I just dropped off my backpack. I didn't want to carry it around." He looked at me with a knowing smile.

"Oh yeah?" I was unsure how to ask if he got my surprise or not without giving it away.

"Yeah, it was weird though. There was something in my locker.." he trailed off.

"What's that?"

"There was a cute little box with a delicious looking cinnamon roll in it, but the best part was the little note attached to it." He still had his hands wrapped around my waist. It was like no one else was in the over crowded cafeteria.

"And what did the note say?" I asked with a big smile.

"Well," he cleared his throat and pulled the note from his back pocket. "The note says. 'Eli, Today I get to watch as you gracefully pummel the other team on that field. Today I get to watch as your face lights up with the passion you always exhibit when you have that ball in your hands. Today I get to feel immense pride over the fact that you chose me to be by your side. Today I get to sit next to my best friend while I cheer on my incredibly hot boyfriend, and tomorrow I get to spend the evening wrapped in his arms. You are going to do great today, Athena.' And there's a little heart next to your name." He smiled down at me when he was done reading my note. "Thank you princess." He said before placing his soft lips against mine.

"You're very welcome Eli." I told him when we pulled apart. "Let's go eat."

"....Led by our captain and quarterback Elliot Voss!!!" emcee announced as the team ran onto the field and the stands went wild. Savannah and I cheered louder than anyone.

"Are you ready to watch your boyfriend get all animalistic and hot?" Savannah asked me once we were seated again.

"Are you ready to watch Mark do the same thing?"
